Meadowland Bar-B-Qued Chickens — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I must admit I should've NEVER ordered any food from this garbage dumpster. The place was filthy. There was an age-old piece of meat laying around on the grill plate. My half slab of ribs were OLD and the sauce was NASTY as hell. It tasted like some poor excuse for chili sauce. It was salty, oily with a tomato base. It was absolutely obnoxious. The cabbage was equally appalling in that it too was days old, discolored without texture as if straight out of a dollar stores can. The yams were also not prepared fresh but also appeared out of a can. I called to immediately complain to the toothless dude, and all he could say was the sauce is their signature sauce. Gummy-dude needs to simply QUIT serving the public any food. The stuff deserves to go into the garbage, which is where I threw that mess. $35.25 totally wasted. DON'T EVER VISIT THAT SLOP...

I have been getting the pork rib platter from Meadowlane BBQ for years and it was good juicy & tender. Until today. First of all the price went up. from $12 to $15.96 with taxes. What a disappointment!!! The ribs were BURNT, almost crispy no juice no BBQ flavor. I had something that was supposed to be Mac & cheese and the cabbage was nondescript and tasteless. I did my very best to eat the very expensive platter, but could not. So I will be taking it back after work. I've lived 2 blocks from this place for years and have never went inside until recently. The chicken spinning in the rotisserie ovens (labeled Boston Market) looked very good from the window. But the food was horrible. The Mac and cheese and greens that i ordered were retrieved from the refrigerator and heated up in the microwave right in front of my face!! I ignored it because i was starving. When i got home and finally ate the food was disgusting and tasteless. Not to mentioned the watery bbq sauce over my dried out chicken. Never again!
