Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I placed an order for 2 rice balls. And to my dismay, I watched one of the workers put her fingers in her nose before handing me my order. She noticed my reaction and asked if I had anything else with my order, and I mentioned I just watched her put her fingers in her nose before touching my food. She asked if I wanted the food repackaged and I said yes. After I saw her leave the kitchen laughing I was so uncomfortable I requested a refund.

I was so grossed out that she did it AND didn't wash her hands. Imagine if I hadn't seen her at all??? After speaking with the store owner I could only get store credit which I don’t feel comfortable using because of the complete lack of regard for sanitary food handling. I’ve eaten at Kung Fu Tea at Drexel University a few times now, and I really enjoy this spot. It’s a small location with some seating, and the staff has always been pleasant and friendly.

You can order at the kiosk or through the mobile app, which is what I usually do.

I’ve tried several items from the menu, including the shrimp tempura onigiri, chicken teriyaki onigiri, KF popcorn chicken, and the cheesesteak egg rolls. Everything has been fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The sauce they give you to pour over or dip your food in is really good too.

I also love their iced honey green tea, which is my favorite, and I’ve tried their Dubai chocolate, which I believe is a limited-time item.

If you’re looking for a quick, tasty lunch in the area, I definitely recommend...

My husband and I LOVE bubble tea and have been drinking it for years. Our favorite location is the one on Arch street but we’ve been to this location multiple times. Sometimes service is okay but most times we’ve encountered rude employees. Today I wanted to treat myself to one of my favorite drinks the Mango Milk Tea with Mango jellies. We decided to get it from this location because it’s closer to where we live. It was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

The milk tasted spoilt and the jellies were clumpy and broken apart. Not like how I’m used to having the drink. My husband’s Almond Milk Tea (his favorite) tasted bland and disgusting. Never had an experience like this but we are not going here again....
