Update: Still a five-star, now with a few more menu items! Listen, I pretty much still get a banh mi every time I visit (either the classic or the fried shrimp)... I mean, why mess with perfection. However, their rice bowls are a solid addition and have helped me introduce my banh mi hesitant friends to the wonders of Mi 'N Tea. If you haven't given them a shot yet, you now have at least one more reason!
Original Review: I've been to Mi 'N Tea on multiple occasions, have sampled most of the menu, and frankly still love it just as much as my first visit!
I believe I've had every sandwich on their menu. Listen they are all great, but I'm not going to lie, the classic is still my favorite. They are heavy! I mean they really pack them with meats. I love how just a sandwich can fill me up so much. If you are looking to shake things up from the classic, my number two recommendation is probably the lemongrass pork.
They have recently added taro chips and fries. I enjoy them on rare occasions. They just aren't my thing. However, it is great to have a "meal" option for those looking for more.
I'm still working my way through their drink menu. I haven't had any of their hot drinks, but their various other teas hit the spot. My first recommendation is to get a large, as it isn't much more in price but gets you more of what you'll want. If you need a coffee like hit, go for the Thai It All Together. If not, maybe the Watermelon Twist or the Thai Sunset. If you are looking for a pure dessert like drink, my pick would be the Guava Refresher.
Prices are very reasonable and turn around on orders is still quick. Unfortunately, there is not much in the way of dining space thanks to covid. They do have a small outdoor area in the summer. Otherwise, I have to recommend you plan for takeout!
Keep an eye out as I continue to try (and photograph) the rest of their...
Read morePhenomenal food and drinks!! Be prepared to want to visit this restaurant every day and give them all your money! :) We happened to be walking around and this place caught our eye. We tried the lemongrass pork sandwich and the crispy shrimp sandwich. Both sandwiches had huge portions of protein and the freshest veggies we’ve ever tasted. We couldn’t get over how much protein was in this sandwich. The shrimps are huge shrimp not the tiny shrimp or chopped up shrimp. We also could not stop talking about how they had the freshest cilantro we had ever experienced. The fresh baked roll is the perfect vessel for all the sandwich goodies and it soft inside with a crispy crust. The bread doesn’t weigh down the sandwich and you don’t feel like your just eating bread. The boba in the drinks was cooked perfectly with the right amount of chew. We liked that the drinks packed a lot of flavor without being overly sweet or sugary. Super friendly staff and nice quick service add to the...
Read moreSince I moved to Manayunk and started working on main st, mi n tea was my daily spot for good coffee/milk tea. Amazingggg viet coffees and lattes. I absolutely love this place, but with the prices going up, it’s just not a reasonable price anymore. On top of that, I’m not sure if it’s just the new trainees learning the ropes, but the last couple drinks I have ordered from here have been very tasteless and my brown sugar bubble tea was completely white and tasted like I was drinking straight plain milk. My past coffees and matcha/green teas have been watered down and way too much cream is added when I only ask for a splash. It’s so disappointing to see one of my favorite local businesses go down in quality while also upping their prices. I’d like to keep coming here, but it’s just not worth it anymore. Instead of almost daily coffee, I’ll probably only be returning here once a week on days I need caffeine and can’t find...
