OISHI Yakitori Sushi — Restaurant in Philadelphia

This place did NOT disappoint! Needless to mention they are HALAL!!! We ordered the bento box 3, tuna crunchy roll, rainbow roll and wagyu beef fried rice. Cheesecake for dessert. The fried rice was extremely delicious. Not your typical kind at all! At first I kinda thought I may have to order more food later but to be honest for a party of two (I have a son who’s an athlete and eats everything under the sun) it was VERY filling. The sushi rolls were very large and FRESH! I mean they used actual blue crab meat!! For the bento box I chose land & sea roll, Japanese wagyu nigiri, miso soup and chicken katsu sando. I asked the server to cut the sando in half so my son and I could share. Instead he just gave another one on the house! And let me tell you, that sandwich is a MUST have! For dessert they only had cheese cake and black sesame ice cream so we ordered the cake. Once again they provided complementary ice cream. Now I’m very picky with cheesecake but boy oh boy! That was THE BEST cheesecake I’ve ever had!! Firstly it’s a large portion, secondly it is soooo fluffy and soooo tasty without any eggy smell whatsoever. The ice cream was nice too! I asked the server to pack me another piece to go since I loved it so much. He came back with two slices. Again, the extra slice on the house. What a sweet surprise!! This location is a smaller area so I’d suggest making reservations if you have a large party. I don’t think I need to speak too much on the service as it’s become pretty self explanatory. Prices may seem high but the portions are very filling making it worth it. The server did mention their actual chef had called out and the food could’ve been better. I ordered their 18 pieces premium nigiri on grubhub. The picture had toro, sweet ebi, yellowtail, salmon, and wagyu. I received eel, maguro tuna, mackerel, salmon, octopus, and some steak I'm guessing wagyu. There's nothing premium about what I got and to top it off, they gave me an extra nigiri. It's like they gave me a horrible selection so they threw in an extra nigiri to make up for it. I understand completely that it's chef's choice but 90 dollars for the selection they gave me is diabolical. Please update your pictures on the apps because it's very misleading.

Reply* Yes I have many food delivery apps and it might have been Doordash but that's besides the point. You stated I ordered bluefin tuna(maguro) to which I'm going to respond that, why would I order that if I don't eat maguro. However I ordered for the toro which I didn't receive and instead got many pieces I do not like such as the octopus, maguro, mackerel which all were not in the picture on doordash. All I said was you should update the pictures on the delivery app because it's very misleading. It's a red flag when you order 18 pieces of premium nigiri and they give you an extra one. Quality restaurant. There are few restaurants left putting out as high of quality of food as this one, especially given the price. The quality of their sashimi/sushi ingredients is top tier. The cuts on their fish for sashimi are very impressive compared to other sushi/sashimi locations of similar price. They don't skimp on the sushi/sashimi condiments! Third time here and each time the food and service did not disappoint!! We ordered a bunch of robatayaki, everything was delicious and super fresh. Our favorite were the hanger and branzino. Sushi/sashimi were super fresh and you can definitely taste the quality of the fish they offer here. Super authentic and melts in your mouth. Love their chicken bao buns, and their tandoori chicken fried rice is a must try. I haven’t tried anything like this at any other restaurants before.
