Pagano's Market and Bar — Restaurant in Philadelphia

My brother and I went there to grab a bite to eat a few minutes ago and as we were waiting in line to pay there was one customer ahead of us as the owner was ringing him up. He looked at us with a dirty look and said “you good?” Very hostile. We asked yes, why? He proceeded to get very defensive and extremely unprofessional and had to be “held back” from another worker as he tried to charge at us... moral of the story he threw us out, FOR NO REASON AT ALL! Hands down the worst option for everything in the area. Breakfast and lunch are over priced. $10 for a chicken salad sandwich made from yesterday’s unsold chicken breast? Also, if you are thinking of catering, look across the street at Coventry. Quality is much better and at half the price. At Paganos you’ll pay $15 a head for bagels and cream cheese. I would say MAYBE the higher prices are sometimes worth it because of service and people, but this is not the case — the people are rude and the service is just good enough to [sometimes] keep you...

In town briefly on business ... had the chance to lunch at Pagano's Market this week. This is like an old-style deli with chalkboard menu boards and so many fresh-looking selections you could eat something different every day for a month! When in Philly ... I crave the cheese steak sandwich! Compared to Pat's Original (lunch Saturday), Pagano's wins by taste and flavor! A side of onion rings ... WOW!
