I have been coming to Arena Fitness & Performance for about 2 years and have seen my fitness level really escalate. Chris & the arena team truly care about us members. The workouts are so thoroughly planned to make sure our bodies are warmed up and primed for an intense full body workout. The workout is about 40-50 minutes followed by recovery and stretching. There are 5 main types of workouts - Engine (endurance based), Build( Strength focused) Power, Hybrid & Arena Strong. Arena also offers a weekly run club on Wednesday mornings and a recovery class on Sundays. It is nice to switch up the intensity and workout and do something different everyday. In between classes there is the option for open gym where you can reserve your spot and come workout on your own. I have been to several gyms in Philly but arena is unlike any other gym.    Read moreIf you're looking to be more athletic, not just in shape, this is the ideal program for you. The program is much more functional than simply lifting or running on a treadmill alone. I attend classes to improve my speed and endurance on the tennis court, as well as competing in Hybrid races. The workouts can be easily modified to make sure they remain challenging without being discouraging.
My favorite thing is the growing community. I've met a lot of new people that have a similar mindset around health and fitness. The motivation that provides can make all the difference in getting the results you want. Energy and atmosphere is unrivaled, and the coaches are both fun and knowledgable.

   Read moreArena is the best!! As a former D1 athlete I struggled to find the right group fitness class that was both challenging and fun - where I really felt like I was getting my money's worth! The class format at Arena varies which never makes the workout boring. Each workout is tough but modifiable for all skill levels! It can be a "pace yourself" class if you want it to be. The coaches are the absolute best and even though the format is circuit style group training, they always walk around and will correct your form if need be & encourage you to up your weight/reps. The music is also good which is a huge bonus!! I have been going to Arena for the past couple of months and have found that everyone seems to come back to class after their first session.
