Phở Saigon — Restaurant in Philadelphia

My friends and I have come here several times now and every time the food is great with excellent staff. Everything is super fresh and delicious. The meat is very well seasoned and the vegetables seem like they were just picked. If they keep up the quality of the food, we'll keep coming back.

I feel the need to write about a negative experience I had here though. I asked if a particular food item was part of a dish. The server we had kept beating around the bush since they didn't know. I pointed to the picture assuming that's what it was and they said "there you go, you already know." The dish came without what I inquired and I asked where the food item was, they said I should've looked at the menu. I did, that's why I asked to make sure. I paid extra to get that food item. The servers were sitting together and were very thankful for our visit. I told them collectively if they're unsure about what's in a dish, just ask the chef or manager. They agreed, but our server continued to argue. Unprofessional and completely ruined our visit. As irritating as it was, I tried to help. My friend was more pissed than I was. I came here for the first time today (July 21 at 1 PM), and wow, this place blew me away. The food was phenomenal and packed with flavor, but what really made my visit unforgettable was the service.

From the second I walked in, the entire staff was all smiles, friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. I wish I remembered the name of the bald waiter who helped me because he was AMAZING. Not only did he walk me through the menu (as a first-timer), but he also showed me how to properly use the dipping sauces. Super helpful without ever making me feel awkward or rushed.

When I asked for my food to go, he even gave me extra rice to take home! And get this, I accidentally almost left with their water cup, and instead of making it weird, he handed me a to-go cup of water without me even asking. That’s top-tier hospitality.

You can tell the team here really cares and works hard. I left full, happy, and seriously impressed. I’m already planning my next visit. If you’re thinking about coming, DO IT. You won’t regret it.

Pho Saigon is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant that never disappoints. Whenever I visit, I always order the Pho Tai Bo Vien, and it consistently comes out delicious and satisfying. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the meat is always cooked to perfection.
