Richy's Seafood — Restaurant in Philadelphia

First and last time... If your intuition and ratings tell u to walk away, then u may just wanna do that. I’m visiting from Va beach and we decided to try them out. We spent a nice amount of money with them for it to be our first time. Salmon seafood platter was dry, salmon doesn’t taste like real salmon. Mussels didn’t taste or look great either, Chicken had too much fat on it. My aunts salmon salad was missing the eggs and she said it taste like fake fish. They had to re-deliver 4 times. They forgot the free 2liter. Her sandwich was missing everything except the meat and (wrong) cheese, even though it states that it comes with lettuce tomato onion etc.. hush pup were dry. My cousin said his fish looks and tastes like frozen fish. Barely any sides, so not worth mentioning. I believe my salmon seafood platter has made me sick but I can’t be certain yet, I did vomit it back up and still am little by little. I highly dislike leaving bad reviews but I’m sorry, I believe it’s others that should stay away if they have the opportunity to do so. And the restaurant doesn’t even try to make up for it. They’ll make excuses, they did fix the sandwich and redeliver that.. but that’s about it. Basically no one was satisfied with their food whatsoever, and it definitely isn’t worth the money. I can spend more if need be and be highly satisfied elsewhere. The driver claims to not speak English, but I heard the employee call him to let him know he forgot the soda and he understood her perfectly well. Smh.. their customer service is horrible, the young lady favorite line is “anything else” with a bad attitude while ordering. I should’ve cut it off right there, that was a great sign. I just try not to allow one bad apple to make my experience awful. But I should’ve trusted my intuition, that sign, and the reviews as well. It’s sad we can’t come home to visit and sit and enjoy our family dinner. as I’m typing this, I’m regurgitating the mussels on and off, so something isn’t right about that for sure. It also may be Asian owned as well, based on the taste and using fake fish. My advice would be to spend your money elsewhere to be on the safe side. Unfortunately for us that leave reviews, all we’ll get is.. “I’m sorry to hear about your experience, etc”.. which absolutely does nothing for us, but their karma will be that they’ll lose business and lose it quickly. I was very happy to find a halal seafood place that delivers.....i wanted steamed crab so i ordered dungeness crab with 6 shrimp it came with a whole potato cut in half a whole corn cut in half and fresh broccoli all swimming in butter sauce.......and lamb with rice.......my crab which was not advertised as only 1/2 was mushy along with the corn so they both were frozen not fresh the shrimp were small and the texture greasy!......the seasoning became sickning after a few bites of food and the butter started to harden as i was eating because the food 1hour15 minutes was not hot..i agreed to an hour wait!...the seasoning became grainy as this happens so a pop in the microwave was needed to finish the meal....i paid 17.99 even though it is listed online for 12.99.....the meal was edible but more chopped garlic and less butter would have given this meal a better taste!... i like the crab shack crabs much better........Lamb was amazingly good .....the little side veggies were lacking cucumber small and dried out.......the price was 10.00 i think 6.99 listed online......not enough rice nice amount of lamb......i would order this again.....and i do recommend them as a good place to order from .....the service was nice delivery...

I don't know who hired the chicks that work here but they do not like to take orders over the phone. I have called on several occasions and they love to put you on hold...um if they don't want to do their jobs then maybe they need to hire people who will do their jobs. They are losing my business just based off of the poor customer service that I have experienced. The food is pretty good but I will find another seafood spot because I don't do well with poor customer service. Whoever owns Rich's Seafood might need to reevaluate their employees...you are losing business from someone who would've been a long term...
