This person was worse than the people who run the county assistance office. He seemed like a really kind gentleman initially but it really seemed like he was trying to pick a fight out of me. All I asked was whether I could return a stamp because the self-service machine deceived me into thinking that I was buying an envelope. He acted like I was the stupidest person on Earth and acted like I was asking way too much from him when all I asked was if I can return a stamp. It should’ve just been a simple “Yes” or “No, sorry”. He was acting like I was asking him for free money, saying "You want to return something you just purchased..." condescendingly. I mean... that's what returns are for?? Also, why are there two completely different buttons to print the same stamp using the machine in the first place? The button I pressed contained a picture of an envelope and was labeled "Letter Mail". Why did I get a stamp when there’s already a different button that displays a stamp as being an option. Since I was unable to get an envelope from the self-service machine, I wanted to purchase from the guy himself. I said I wanted a letter-size envelope. First size he gave me, I told him "just a little bigger". I kid you not, he whipped out those rigid paper envelopes when I said just a little bigger and letter sized. I said no thats way too big and he said "man, you're getting on my nerves". Man was about to have the worst self-inflicted meltdown ever acting like I was the problem if I hadn't ended the interaction there. I wish people working in customer service who treated customers this way would actually get fired. At least that's how it works in the...
Read moreAlthough it took more than six visits to the post office and numerous calls, they were finally able to find my package after two weeks of desperate calling and searching. The tracking said it was delivered a month ago but in reality, it was never delivered and was held at the post office. We didn’t know until too late (3 weeks later) so when we went to the post office, the item had been returned to sender. However, the item then came back to Philadelphia a week later (the return sticker was not put on it but the carrier had written ANK). We only knew because the internal usps tracking showed the later scans (only available at the post office or speaking with a supervisor on the customer service line). The scans showed it was stuck in the Philly distribution center but it had actually been taken to a supervisor at the post office and was sitting on their desk for three days (scans did not update to post office). Don’t give up hope! The Philly usps consumer affairs number doesn’t work and goes straight to a full voicemail box. Thank you to the postal workers for being patient and still trying their best to find my item! Thank you to Gene for being the most patient even if he couldn’t magically find my package. Thank you to Lisa the supervisor for being the one who saved my new year!...
Read moreGenuinely one of the worst Post Office experiences I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. Every single time I go there, either the rules change, or the way the people at the counter find ways to give you attitude does. Guy in front of me asking the simple as sin question of "Will the tracking information be on the receipt in my email?" gets sassy replies, down-talking, and dead feelings.
Want to pick up a package because it literally says it's ready for pick-up? Nope, hoops to jump through.
If you have seemingly ANY issues as far as getting mail delivered to your apartment, the only solution is to be there at a 2 hour window at 8am.
The amount of slips I've filled out to try to fix the issues, my PROPERTY MANAGER has talked with them and was given "confirmation and assurance from the postmaster general that mailing services would return to your building." Only for it to deliver one time, and never again.
The only upside to this post office is that I'm moving to a zip-code that they don't service soon. I don't need hope that the next post office will be better, because this is bottom of the barrel, so literally anything else will...
