A.T. Oasis Coffee & Tea Shop — Restaurant in Phoenix

This Coffee House used to be MFG... MFG went through several owners over the years and it was the staff that maintained the level of service and devotion to its regular customers which is why I spent over $3k a year at this coffee shop and was a daily / 365 day a year customer..

Now AT Oasis has bought the shop and I tried to stick with it but the new owners have completely ruined this once local gem.. They changed over to their beans and roast which is acidic and doesn't make for a good coffee... The owners have imposed their own standards (Which they have the right to do) which has changed the service feel, the employees are clearly not happy (Some have already moved on) leaving this as simply not an establishment that I want to give $3k+ a year to... What did it in for me was that for years my Drink was $7.65 and I gave $1 tip... after AT Oasis took over my drink went to over $12 and they changed the tip dynamic to a percentage vs a dollar amount forcing you to leave almost $2 on a $12 beverage... then they switched their straws over to "Compostable" straws... I ordered 3 drinks the last day I visited there and all 3 of the straws "Cracked" and were unusable... I had to stop at the nearest gas station to get new straws.... so, this was the last straw as they say... spent $27 for 3 drinks that we couldn't drink without getting new straws from a gas station... I'll take my three grand or more a year to another coffee shop...

I was a die hard regular at another local coffee house on 7th ave... one week my regular Coffee shop had to close to repair their water heater and I was forced to find another coffee shop for my regular stop on my way into work... What I found was the team at MFG and their offerings! From day one both the service and flavor of the coffee grabbed my attention.. I used them for the 4 days that my regular coffee shop was closed and what I found was that no matter who was working the bar or the window I was charged the same amount and my drink was consistent! This was a huge issue I always had with my regular shop.. Even though I ordered the same drink every day for years it was charged differently every day and one day it would taste right and the next day it would be way off and super weak (like dirty milk as opposed to a 4 shot Latte).

So with the staff's service and smiles combined with a morning beverage that I can count on they have retained my daily business and my coffee shop of years past have lost out to the new kids on the block!

I asked for pumpkin flavored latte and the barista said that she could not make that. My sister asked for brown sugar espresso and again the barista said that she could not make that. When we ordered the girl at the window rolled her eyes. I ordered the monthly special. Salted caramel latte (hot), the coffee was lukewarm and to be honest the milk tasted sour. Maybe it was the salt? I am not going to chance it and drink potentially bad milk. My sister ordered a cold caramel latte. It was pure milk and caramel! We asked the barista to remake it and we could see her through the window complaining and talking smack. (LOL, I was at least amused) At that point I was afraid to mention that my coffee wasn’t even hot, so I just let it be, I was not trying to be jerk. We also ordered breakfast burritos, the tortilla was hard, and the egg was cold. The hot sauce was good. This place was a letdown. Our order cost $30 and we didn’t even get to enjoy any of it. It’s a hard pass for me next time. Especially when there are so many other little coffee spots...
