Conveniently located downtown near plenty of dining and attractions and directly across the street from The Orpheum Theatre. We easily walked to dinner nearby, to the Footprint Center for a show and back. It was modern and simply decorated. The room itself was pretty small with the little seating/couch area taking up most of the space, but the large window was nice with the curtains on tracks. There were two water bottles in the room fridge and tea provided along with the coffee maker, which was a nice surprise, but I was underwhelmed with the rest of the room amenities. The hair dryer was older than I would expect for a Hyatt and the shower head didn't provide much water pressure. The room was clean but the bathroom floor seemed like to have dried dirty water from housekeeping making it look less clean. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and the pillows were the usual overly soft hotel pillows.
It would've been more helpful to have parking information before arrival because the garage nextdoor was for an event at the Orpheum when we checked in and later found out we paid for the wrong garage and had to move our car otherwise we'd get locked out after the show got out. The actual garage for self-parking was just one street away but it took us a few minutes to figure out how to get there.
The room itself was good for a quick one night stay, but the customer service in general was lacking. Halsey was less than helpful when we arrived to check-in rushing through her explanation of where the elevators were, breakfast and parking. She seemed annoyed in general and Dominique at night was rather flat in energy when we stopped by to confirm breakfast times for the next morning.
I realized after check-in that I had paid for a room package that was supposed to include a nightly food and beverage credit that went unmentioned at check-in. By the time I remembered we were on our way to a dinner reservation/concert and when we arrived back later the lobby restaurant/bar was closed and no one was at the market/coffee shop making it look closed. The next morning when we asked about it before checkout we were informed that the credit isn't applicable for the day of checkout and that the front desk staff man the Market, so we could've used it the night before. Luckily Jocelyn was nice enough to allow us to use the credit before we departed, but we left feeling like they didn't clearly communicate that with us when we arrived and was a wasted credit.
Breakfast was included in the morning but when they say it closes at 9am, they mean it. The doors were rolled shut at 8:59am allowing the guests who were currently in there to finish getting their food and then the doors were shut. I would plan to come down early though because they ran out of hot food several times while we were there. I waited for it to be filled and managed to get some eggs and one overcooked waffle before it ran out again. There were constantly guests standing around waiting in the breakfast area.
Overall it was a good stay for an overnight getaway to see a concert nearby, but nothing...
Read moreThe location was perfect for a night away staycation. We live in mesa, so we are familiar with the area. My partner went in to check in, the ladies working Saturday night, 2/15/2025 at approximately 9:30 pm were rude to him right off the bat. We drove around to find the hotels parking, it seemed like it was closed so he went back in to question. They couldn’t even look him in the eyes to speak to him. They told him self parking would be around $35, and valet about $45. He said ok, let’s just do valet (to get the process done quicker so we could go out for our Valentine/Valoween). You would think that this would’ve been an introductory question as he was checking in the first time he came in? (“Would you like self parking or valet, here are the price options…here are the locations”) sort of thing. Instead of us driving around for 10 mins to try to find their parking that we couldn’t get into anyway……Beyond that, we sat at the valet parking spot, after his second trip into the lobby, for 15 mins, until he decided to go back to the lobby FOR A THIRD TIME. To find the ladies at the desk, gabbing about men and other unprofessional conversations. They then told him to just text the number on the card……that they hadn’t given to him during his second visit into the lobby to find out about parking. So now we are 3 lobby visits in, just to park. As he walked out of the lobby, he caught a valet gentleman, and was able to finally ask him about what to do. This associate was attentive, also helpful and got the vehicle taken care of right away. When I then walked in with him to go to our room, my first time in, the front desk staff was still sitting and chatting about unprofessional topics. The ladies at check out in the morning, 2/16/2025, were friendly and full of smiles. So was the valet attendant. 10/10 for them, however 0/10 for the night staff. The room was cozy, until I stepped on a toe nail clipping shortly after walking in. We set down our items, I went to change my shoes to heels for the evening, and stepped right onto someone else’s toe...
Read moreThe experience I had staying at the Hyatt was awful. I booked a room for 11 am and spoke to a rep on the phone who said that was perfect. I let them know I'll be there by 11:30, and I booked this room because I'm recovering from surgery and will be heavily sedated when I arrive. When I arrived, John let me know that the room was not ready and it was not ready until 2 pm. At 2 pm my room was not prepared and John said I was "lucky" because he found another room that was flipped and ready to go and he gave me one. So after John asked me "What surgery did you have? It must've been tough for you" After giving me my room key, I found it rude in his condescending tone and an extremely personal question to ask. I just recently had a miscarriage, and I had to have some of my baby's limbs removed from me surgically. Also, I asked the front desk on three different occasions during my stay to bring a cott up to the room for extra sitting space for the family that was visiting me at the hotel they said they would bring up soon and I did not receive it at all during my stay. Now they are asking me to checkout at 11 am, after they couldn't even give me my room at 11am and I had to wait until 2pm and didn't get to have my full stay here. I was quoted over the phone $159 over the phone with taxes being at $30 and now that I'm here and booked the room they are charging me $250 for a one night stay. I might as well have gone to the West Inn for a better hotel stay and a beautiful view I was very disappointed in my stay here I feel like I was sold a lie. If you are coming here for good service, go to another hotel and if you are coming here for a beautiful view, they also lied about that you will be...
