Excellent healthier, lighter snack, lunch or dinner spot. It's a very fresh, poke bowl version of Subway, meaning they put your bowl together to your order. Lots of base items (rice, salad etc), seafood, topping and sauce choices. They have sizes to suit your appetite: regular (not especially large), large, and extra large. Prices are decent for the portion and the quality. Poke is traditionally served in a bowl, usually on a base of rice, salad, or other uncooked vegetables, topped with cubed uncooked sushi style tuna (most common) or uncooked cubed sushi style salmon. Usually topped with soy based sauce and seasonings. This is a good made to order, not too expensive place to try a poke bowl for the first time. The friendly staff with give you suggestions if you are unsure of how to have your poke bowl "built". There are at least a few locations in the Phoenix metro, but the one downtown at 1ST and Jefferson is temporarily closed (on 9/12/2020 anyway) We tried the one at 7TH Ave and McDowell. Read moreI didn't enjoy my experience at this location, I was there to pickup a online order in which I was given a time that the order would be ready for pickup, yet upon arrival to this location I proceeded to the counter to pick up the online order and I was told by the cashier (guy) that I had to wait for the order because "YOU SEE THE LONG LINE"!! He just totally disregarded that this is a online order and he didn't even give me an estimated time on how long before the order would be ready!! So at this point I'm just standing at the counter wondering when will my order be ready, while I'm standing here and the customers that walked into the store orders are being prepared and checked out but yet I'm still standing here waiting on my order!!! The guy NEVER came back to me and said your order will be ready shortly, he continued to take customers orders and check them out, I got tired of waiting on my order I just walked out of the store and I cancelled the order!! That was RUDE and...

This was my first time trying ahipoke and I was unfamiliar with the menu. When I told her I needed a minute (no one else was in line btw, it was dead in there)...She slumped down at her hip and put her face in her arms and stared at the ground instead of explaining the menu and helping me, or even responding. Lulz
I felt rushed and ordered. She was sarcastic and unhelpful, rolled her eyes when I asked questions and would scoff sarcastically often.
What really surprised me was when I ended up ordering something to go, after I finished eating. I read the order from text for my fiancé, I asked for sauce on the side. She scoffed loudly, pursed her lips, and threw the mixing bowl on the ground which made a loud noise.
The food was great overall...I hope she learns some manners and has a better day. If not I heard...
