Underbelly Meat Co. — Local services in Phoenix

Holy moly, this place! The reviews are not exaggerating. They caught my attention when I googled “grass fed meat shop,” came here as soon as I left work and just walked out with a nice, big bagful of a mixture of meats that didn’t break the bank considering how much is in the bag. Everything about this shop is perfect and also, visually, a feast for the eyes. There was much thought put into its inviting design. Dustin, the owner, humbly and professionally knocked it out of the park with his helpful information and advice. (I’m nine days into carnivore eating/elimination diet so had some questions about what he would suggest.)

This shop has been open for just over a year and if I could add the word “wow” with a smile emoji between every word of this review, I would, but I’m an adult so won’t. 🙂

2 weeks ago I called about some pork skin which we use for practicing tattoo work. I talked to Dustin, who told me they didn't currently have any in stock but insisted on taking my info to contact me when they did. A couple hours later, I got a call from Dustin who told me he found the last one they had in the back, so I hurried down to his shop. When I got there, he gave me the pork skin at no cost. This a mini treasure in downtown Phoenix. Grass fed, grass finished meats. A professional butcher and wide selection of cuts in the display case. Unbelievably delicious lunch sandwiches, even if a little expensive at $14 but it was fresh, well prepped and flavorful. No game meats here, though. No elk, boar, bison, etc. There’s even a selection of wine and great French butter. A whole animal butchery with product from only top local ranchers and farmers careful about producing the best meats possible.
