Authenticos Mesquite Grille — Restaurant in Phoenix

I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for a while because the food has always been fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately, last night completely changed that. I was served what was clearly old chicken in my burrito. Honestly, I could tell just by looking at it that it had been sitting out, but I went against my gut because I’ve never had an issue with their quality before. Big mistake.

I spent the entire night and day dealing with the consequences, stuck on the toilet and completely regretting my decision to trust that it would be fine. It’s such a shame because I genuinely liked this place. But it only takes one food safety slip-up to lose trust completely.

Consistency is everything in this business. If you can’t maintain the same level of freshness and care that built your customer base in the first place, it’s going to catch up to you. Sometimes you just have to toss the old chicken. Saving $2 isn’t worth losing a customer who’s spent over $100 with you in the past year.

Grilled Sensation!!! Happen to spot this Jen today passing by an event they were doing. First off he smell of mesquite wood grilling is in the air and that was enough to draw me in. As you can see from my reviews my husband and I are always trying new Taco trucks. We ordered the Carne Asada Street Tacos a side of Rice and Beans got it home and open the boxes to see huge piles of meat and loaded with toppings. I have to say the meat is grilled to perfection! No extra fat on any of the meat tortillas were awesome. Rice and beans were both delicious. All in all this place is AHHHHmazing!! We also noticed how clean the inside of the truck was. The churros are exquisite, the service is professional and friendly. BUT.... the wait is ridiculous, we've been to other churrerias bit never having to wait 20-30 minutes. You guys have to fix this problem, you guys only make churros, it's not like you have a a full menu, it's just aguas frescas and churros these should be coming in and out like hot tamales. The line was ridiculously long, we love your churros but not to wait 20-30 minutes... vamonos in and out get them in and get them out quick.! You know you'll be busy so start making full batches.
