Tacos La Lomita — Restaurant in Tolleson

I go here all the time. The food is usually pretty good although time to time errors are made. I love the vegetarian burrito I eat it about once a month. Tonight was very upsetting. I am transitioning from a pescatarian diet to include chicken and turkey. I have to transition slowly bc I will get sick even if I eat too much chicken. Tonight Lily assisted me in the drive through. I ordered the #9 Carne Assad meal for my boyfriend and the #2 hard taco meal for myself. She asked if I wanted beef or chicken and I said chicken. I get home and I’m starving, I start to devour my taco and halfway through I realize I’m eating a beef taco! I realized it bc there was a thick piece of tissue that I pulled from my mouth. DISGUSTING! I’m so upset I’m literally in tears right now. I know it’s not a big deal to others but this is kind of like a violation to my body. I called in to report what happened and Lily insisted she repeated the meal back to me, which she did confirm the #9 and #2 combos but I don’t recall her confirming chicken or beef. We ordered caldo de res and a Chorizo and potato burrito. She asked if you would like egg and charged me extra for it. From the time that we arrived, there was a lady sweeping the floor over and over. It was very annoying. The odor of Bleach was so strong that I couldn't even taste the food. After we left, the Bleach smell was still in my mouth. We were there during the lunch hour and the place was empty. Hey, owner or manager, don't allow the floor cleaning to be done during business hours. The meat in the caldo looked old. The Chorizo didn't even taste like Chorizo. Maybe they are using the pre-cooked kind. I would never go back again. That is the dumbest thing you can do is to mop the dining room floor during the lunch hour. EDITED - I originally gave a great review because this place used to be my fave. We've literally been going here since they opened and even throughout the pandemic we would go through the drive-thru. Unfortunately, they have changed so much, and not sure if that's for the better of their business. I have been a few times over the last couple of months and it's not the same. Oh, and no more tortillas hechas a mano?!?! Handmade tortillas are no longer offered? At least not through the drive-thru. We're not sure if we will go back soon. I keep giving them another chance.
