--this is an update to my last (first) review. 🤪
Haven't been here in more than six. Probably 7 months at least because I moved more than 5 mi away and I just don't have the means right now to spend much on ice cream and gas. Anyway, what a waste of $15!? when I arrived home, I took the pints out of the bag & (Mind you, I had told the guy (the cashier) I'm not going to eat any tonight.) *because I was still full from dinner-but anyway, I also mentioned how much I was looking forward to coming there and getting some ice cream to take back home after more than 6 months since my last visit back in November. So it was a good 6.5 Mile drive home. I made a quick stop which took another 10 minutes or so-so by the time I got home about 25 minutes had passed. But anyway, unbeknownst to me though when I went in the kitchen to put the pints of ice cream in the freezer-out of the bag...They both just collapsed!! 😜 the lids came off. Ice cream went all over the floor all over the refrigerator & all over the counter, and not to mention all over my hands! And I was like oh my God so when I took the other one out. .The same thing happened..AGAIN!! I don't understand why there was no seal or tape to secure these items in the bag?? *and the packaging is pretty flimsy to begin with ??🤔 I don't think I'll be going back to Bruster's anytime soon. 😠🙄🫠 I spent more than $15!! On a scale of 1 to 10. I would give BRUSTER'S a 7.0 to 8 but with the way the packaging is: I now give it more like a 6 ☹️ simply put--there's just better places to go for ice cream with better packaging and more conscientious servers. Read moreMy family and I love Bruster's Real Ice Cream. When my husband and I first moved to the Valley, we discovered Bruster's on our first night here. Something about that familiar, uplifting taste of ice cream made us at ease in our new surroundings. Ever since, Bruster's has been a staple on our date nights.
I had ordered a cake for a birthday party this past weekend, (I ordered the cake almost a week in advanced) When I went to pick it up, the cake hadn't been made yet, even though the scheduled pick up date was for Sunday. The team at the store apologized and told me that they would have a cake ready for me in a couple of hours. While upset by this, I reached out to Dan (manager, owner of this location?) to figure out what happened and I received a response almost immediately. Dan apologized for the missing cake and made sure that I had the cake that I ordered as soon as possible given the circumstances. He also offered the cakes that were already pre-made as well. Even though I had to wait a couple extra hours for my cake, I was still happy with the end result and the cake was enjoyed by everyone.
I appreciate the time, effort, and goodwill that Dan and his team took to resolve my issue. And, I appreciate that they had owned up to their mistakes and did everything that they could to ensure that I left a happy customer. I wish more businesses could follow their lead. I am proud to have a business like this in my neighborhood and I can promise that my family and I will be enjoying Bruster's Ice Cream for many many more...
Read moreI was in the drive thru getting my ice cream, and I pull up to the patio where the 2 managers were at. I asked for assistance, and one of the managers, Alyssa, was so rude and hateful towards me. She was outside smoking with the other manager, and you could tell Alyssa was on something because her eyes were red and puffy. And not a sick type of puffy, a drug dealer kind of puffy. Anyways, she flipped me off when I asked for help because someone got my order wrong and then she told me to get the f off of her property and never come back. This wasn't the first time I have been treated badly by Alyssa at this location, I was here about a month ago with my young son, and we went through the drive thru. Due to the fact that I am elderly, I can't hear so well, so i asked her to repeat what she said, and she yelled at me because of it. I WILL NOT be coming back EVER to this establishment. In my opinion, Alyssa should be fired, I have been a loyal customer to brusters since this location opened. I've never had problems with past managers like Brad, Emily, or Jayden. Even the crew such as Arianna and her siblings, Bella, Brendon, and Peyton have been such dears to me. I don't know what I did to deserve this, but i know that I will not be giving this buisiness a cent more out of my pockets. Shame to Alyssa for the way...
