This Cafe is located inside the Musical Instrument Museum and you do not need to pay entrance to the museum to eat here. There is a small cafe at the front for coffee, tea, drinks and a few small bites open during museum hours while the restaurant at the back serves only at lunchtime (currently 11:30 to 2:30pm). What I love most is that the restaurant sources their food locally so you can try different local treats like goat milk fudge, Hayden Mills flour cookies, ice cream from Gilbert, etc. I picked up a local farm box here at the cafe on a weekly basis and know they are very welcoming whether you or a museum patron or not. It also has a beautiful outdoor patio where you can eat or just relax. It's a little secret place I share with friends visiting. Of course the museum is amazing, but if museums aren't your thing or you just want to try something much healthier and more unique than the chain restaurants at Desert Ridge be sure to check...
Read moreUhmm so I was expecting some basic overpriced museum food but this was actually a fantastic meal? I’m just blown away by my whole experience at MIM, including the unexpectedly tasty lunch! I got their deluxe burger and a side of onion rings. The burger was generously loaded, toasted brioche bun was buttery and crispy. Beef was fresh, all the toppings worked really well together. And the onion rings were the best I’ve had in a long time—thick, crispy and well seasoned in the outside, soft and oniony on the inside. A giant meal to fuel your energy for such a big, stimulating museum. The food wasn’t cheap, but it could’ve been much pricier given the venue. Overall not a bad choice for lunch if...
Read moreWent to a David Cook concert there. The facility was great. The seat was comfortable. However, the idiots 2 rows in front of up stood up the entire concert. The weren't young rock and rollers but a 50+ year old guy with wife and 2 kids. He never even tried to dance, just stood there. They never sat down, ever. There was an older woman and young girl sitting right behind them & they saw nothing of the performers. I could see the performers from the head up. WOW!! I think there should be some level of courtesy applied by patrons that attend and if they aren't then the attendants should step in and do something. Never going back there to see anyone that would bring these...
