Visiting Irish pubs is kind of a hobby of mine. I've been to quite a few. I was visiting Phoenix and trying to decide between The Dubliner and Seamus Mccaffrey. I chose the Dubliner. The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. They don't have a menu for the whiskeys Hell they don't even have a list. I ordered a takeout entree and they brought me a box, no bag, no cutlery.. I asked if they had cutlery and the bartender was like uhh, and happened to find a set under the bar. They were one hundred percent intending for me to just pick up a box of shepherds pie and walk away lol I guess you can eat Shepard pie with your hands but a fork is kind of customary when buying a 20'ish entree. Still didn't get a bag, but carrying a box isn't going to kill me. The atmosphere was kind of dead. The food was ok, not good, not terrible. I asked for fish and chips to go and they said they don't do that because fish and chips don't do well for take out. I understand that but not giving me the option feels odd. In general not a bad experience, but definitely not one I'd repeat. I went to Seamus the following day. MUCH better. Hope that helps someone trying to make the same decision. Upon the reply of the pub I have to add that the extent of the liquor on hand is not that extensive by any means. Seamus has easily three times the amount of choices and they somehow managed to print them out to paper. I guess if you want an Irish themed dive bar and not a pub; you have a place to...

Anthony was hands down the rudest and most abrasive bartender my friend and I have ever experienced. I was in a great mood, having a great night. Right off the bat, he was short with us, rude, very abrasive, and acted like he didn't want us to be there. Meanwhile, he was laughing and making conversation with other customers, was in great spirits with them. I was in the food service industry for over a decade and have much respect for the industry and staff. I'm big on being polite and tipping generously. I've been thinking of becoming a regular as I live close by but I felt so unwelcomed I won't go back. His attitude was so terrible towards us, as we were leaving I asked him if he was OK, if we did anything to upset him. He said that he had a really long day and rude customers earlier. I told him I was sorry that happened and that I hope he has a better day tomorrow. He responded with very short and angry toned "yup" then I said, "have a good night", and he didn't even respond. He just walked away. I was nothing but chill and nice, still tipped well. We all have bad days Anthony, don't be a jerk and take your bad day out on customers who are there to support your establishment and have a good time. You accomplished what you seem to have wanted, we won't be...

My server was a little over worked, and I get it. I feel like it took away from her customer service part of the job. Food was like I don't care food. I had the potato skins. But because it's looking so long to get me something else that the main course I wasn't hungry anymore I ordered a beer and she also bought a shot of Jameson lucky for her to I like Jameson pool table cool area there were people there so I'm sure the food is pretty good I would like to try the shepherd's pie but they were all out. I definitely would like to give this place another shot honestly the pool table plus because I like to shoot and grab some pub food but shepherd's pie being from Boston but sure would like to try here in Arizona. So I'm in the middle on this one and I get the times it's hard to find good people to work customer service for any job you work for and when you're waiting on people I get it that's why I left her a $12 tip on a $24 check. Let's not forget we're all Americans we're all here we all work so let's not forget the poor leaving the impression on someone you never seen before. I may stop by for St Patty's Day see...

Food selection is wrapped around Irish food all sounding delicious. I had the Friday night fish AYCE cod. It was really good. Small pieces but always came out hot and all cooked perfect. Slaw was heavy on the cabbage not a lot of bite to it but good overall. Fries were crisp and fried to perfection. Wife had shepard's pie. Smaller portion but delicious and perfectly cooked.Beer ice cold. Patrons, wide range and overall friendly. Service, kitchen is spot on: bar on point; server, busy and a little forgetful but very friendly and attentive. Overall, we will be back and looking forward to another Friday. Picture of extra order of cod.

Really disappointed. Tried for the first time last night. Not only did they forget an item in our order the phone was busy each time we tried to call to correct the problem. We had to drive back to get a refund. The food portions were extremely small for the price. The paper was stuck to the bottom of my big cookie. The Shepard pie was unlike any I've ever had and not in a good way. The meat was the consistency of the mash potatoes and there might have been carrot shavings. It was bland all together. Maybe the experience is better in person but I'm over it.
