Federal Pizza Paradise Valley — Restaurant in Phoenix

Went with my family and friends to celebrate my in-laws 57 th wedding anniversary and my step son’s birthday !! We called to make a reservation and the lady asked is there a special occasion? Yes and let her know ! There were 9 of us and everything was going so well until one of our friends ordered a pepp pizza with no olives when it was brought to him it looked like they opened and reg can of green olives and dumped on the pizza so of course he didn’t want it Marcus our waiter if it were me I would have just had them make it right and not even have told the customer! The it took forever to get his pizza we were all done eating so he just got it to go . The we had to mention to Marcus the birthday and anniversary like three times then finally he brings out one dessert for two different celebrations !! So as I had mentioned friends were also there so they wanted separate checks and well that didn’t go over so well it turned out Marcus was not trained in that area and he just kept saying one check is better !! My husband ended up paying the bill and Marcus was just hovering and just acting creepy even at one point standing directly behind d my husband with his arms crossed and just staring at the back of his head it just got so weird so fast I will not go back there ever and my husband and I were so embarrassed that we brought his parents there to celebrate there 67th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY only to just recognize my step sons birthday just...

I am loving Federal Pizza. Saturday was my first time to the Paradise Valley location (recently and first time went to their N. Central location with a large group – both locations are great). For the Paradise Valley location, even though it was very busy on Saturday mid-afternoon, I was able to get a single seat at the almost full bar. Miller was the bartender during my visit. He was very attentive even though he was very busy covering the bar patrons as well as appearing to be covering drinks for the rest of the restaurant. I had The Double Down Special (11am-4pm) where you get a half pizza and salad of your choice for $15. It’s great that you get to select from any of the pizzas and salads for the same priced special. I had the Heirloom Caprese salad and Margherita pizza – Yummy! I also had happy-hour wine (any glass of wine from the menu for $6). Federal Pizza is very tasty and overall reasonably priced, and the staff is very friendly. The interior aesthetics is very nice, and the bar/restaurant is beautiful, having natural light from windows. Parking is somewhat to be desired – it took a few circles around to find a spot. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying...

They have a lot of links to work out. To put things in context, I’m a regular at the Central Phoenix location and I am a big supporter of their restaurant concept. We went today and they offered outdoor seating since inside was full. The first issue of the evening was that they forgot they seated us outdoors. If they were so busy and weren’t able to take care of their customers outside, they should have not have offered outdoor seating. The waiter eventually came out and we placed our order. I repeated our order at least 3 times and each time I had him read it back to me and I had to correct him each time, so he clearly either didn’t know how use his Toast device or he wasn’t listening. Our drinks arrived and they brought us the wrong drink order. We ordered a pitcher of cider but they brought us a pitcher of another beer. Next, our kids spaghetti showed up with a huge hair on top. I’m not sure how they missed it. Next, our appetizers showed up and somehow they brought us the wrong wings order, which we had to get replaced. No one acknowledged or apologized for all the issues.
