Filiberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Phoenix

Placed an order through drive through. Completely messed up, claim they do not sell jalapenos?! Tried to argue they don't have/sell sides of fresh jalapenos. Food cold, waited 20 minutes in drive through (1 car ahead of us, 2 patrons inside, decided to hit drive through over going inside since they weren't busy at all). Called location to resolve/have ready when I returned but was brushed off flippantly. I came into the store, 2 patrons ahead of us were also having orders corrected. Cashier refused to acknowledge any issue and continued to blame it on being busy (literally one couple in dining area and 3 in drive through at this point, they are never busy, I live 2 blocks away). Cashier was rude, kept asking what we expect?! I only asked to correct my order to begin with and they have now escalated to frustration. I asked for the manager or owner several times but the cashier felt it was more important to take a personal call. The cashier said we could argue about it all day, yelled "oh, my God" slammed money on the counter, grabbed our food and walked in the back. I DID NOT ASK FOR A REFUND. The owner finally comes to the counter, refuses to acknowledge the poor customer service or terrible cashier behavior, grabs both original and refund receipts, would not let me have my copy, and claims to call police because I documented. My friend and I were both appalled at how quickly a simple request to add an item that was left out of our order could turn out so hostile from a business seeking...

I have to chime in and say that we USED to like this location because the food was decently made. I don't know what has happened recently (over the last three months) but we're never eating anything from here ever again. Twice my fiance has ordered his favorites here and twice has he wanted to vomit.

Enchiladas was the first mistake: he told me the sauce tasted like there's rotten fish sauce and vinegar mixed in. He couldn't finish it, thank goodness he didn't get sick.

Fast forward to yesterday and the burrito he ordered AGAIN had the rotten fish sauce in the salsa, with slimy tomatoes in his pico de gallo. Oh, and the cheese in the burrito was only half placed. Again, he had to scoop the nasty pico and the rotten red sauce off and added some shredded cheese and that made it tolerable.

I highly believe that a food inspector needs to check this place out before anyone gets serious food poisoning.Trust me, the quality of the food has plummeted and the ingredients are straight up rotten. And considering it costs nearly an arm and a leg for a foul tasting dish, it's BS that you're playing russian roulette with your guts and/or well being.

I don't know who they have in the back "cooking" this food, or how many employees have their food handler's card up to date but I highly advise to go to a different Filiberto's because there's a rampant problem with this location keeping their ingredients fresh and their...

I have been to other Filberto's in Phoenix before, and stopped at this location on Tatum Blvd around 11:30. The parking lot was empty except for one car and three homeless encamped by their dumpster area. The parking lot was littered with trash, cups, paper. Walked into the hot, smelly dining room that was empty. The one male employee was handling both drive thru and dining room, only took care of drive thru orders, and I waited to place my order for over 15 minutes. Went into the restroom, and the floor was wet, no paper towels, no toilet paper, and no air conditioning-- it was hot humid and light bulb was burned out. finally placed my order for taco plate and the fresca and a soda. The soda machine was out of order, and the fresca was watered down probaby from yesterdays left over. Finally got my ordr with greasy unedible tacos that had two slivers of beef, dried old refried beans and dried spanish rice. The salsa bar was out of order, and you have to request salsa from the same employee who was only paying attention to the drive up, and ignoring the front counter. Waited another 10 minutes to get a plastic fork, napkins and salsa. Not a good experience for a $10.00 taco plate that was not edible. Not worth my time or money at...
