The service from start to finish was great! We were greeted timely. The owner was very personable and helped us through drink selections, while we waited for a table. Once seated, all of our needs were anticipated (this is a rarity and is highly valued in my opinion) and met by our servers (both sons). This is a truly family owned and operated business.
We had: bread/pita, spanakopita, calamari, tzatziki, greek salad, and both lamb dishes. Everything tasted delicious, my personal favs were the tzatziki and lamb chops. The food was timed well (brought out while hot & at a good pace). I call this out since we ordered a lot of food for 2 people and we ordered ~30-40min before closing. Although it was close to closing time, everyone was so polite and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. They even offered/allowed time for desert and I think what was a digestif.
Atmosphere - the bar area seemed friendly, like a nice spot to eat for 1 but still mingle with others. I liked the music, not sure how to describe it, but it was effective in setting a lite/care-free kind of vibe and was not too loud. The seating booths style/placement makes them an intimate setting for a party of 2-4. I don’t think I would have liked sitting in the middle of the room at a 2 or 4 top. But the dinning room does look like it can easily accommodate...
Read moreWith a name like Greek Town you can't go wrong, right? Let me tell you I've been an admirer, nay lover of Greek food for literally as long as I can remember. My grandmother loved it as well and took me to many many restaurants and our favorite, Greek festivals. I like it all. I've never had a Greek dish I don't like!
Now don't let this sound like I've never had bad Greek food. Some restaurants are great and others are subpar. There's the high end and the fast food types. And Greek Town is the perfect mix of both.
The decor is beautiful inside. Simple yet detailed. The atmosphere was great for our dinner at 5pm. The service was AMAZING and you don't see that as much these days. Now here's why it's a perfect mix between upscale and drive through-ish. The food was spectacular but the prices were just right! I had a simple gyro plate which had amazing flavors and was quite large, and the price was perfect! They have amazing calamari as an appetizer which came out as almost a scampi style you would find with shrimp. And to top off, the end of our meal was an truly decadent baklava on top of cheese cake with white chocolate cream on top.
As I said I love Greek. I live in Colorado and am here on business and Greek Town will go down as one of the absolute best Greek restaurants I've...
Read moreWe drove up to GreekTown to pick up takeout that we called in. Hubby went inside & waited. He was very impressed! While he briefly waited, he was offered a couple of Greek drinks, which he said were very tasty. A nice gentleman helped carry out a food bag & a styro tub of soup for my husband had two full bags in his hands. It was torture smelling the food all of the way home! I had the Mediteranean Salad with Gyro meat, Tzaiki sauce & Greek dressing. Delicious! My husband had the Gyro Plate with a full pita, side salad, rice & vegetables, two Shishkabobs, Tzaiki sauce, & a side soup. We also got an order of (4) Spinocopitas & sauces. There was also an extra box that was loaded with table bread & cut pita; what is served when you dine in. We also ordered 'Baklava Cheesecake'. There was so much in the box; a huge piece of cheesecake that we thought had a hint of key lime or lemon, a tub of caramel sauce, two big dolup's of delicious chocolate mousse, a huge square of a lite chocolate cookie, and possibly pistachio baklava? It looked delicious, but we were so full that we decided to eat half of the dessert this morning. I was mouth watering! We'll be eating a few of our leftovers later today. We will be back to GreekTown, & possibly the next time we will make reservations...
