Decided to come to eat dinner here because we saw 4-1/2 stars. Since we were on that side of town we said why not!!! Well it turned out to be very good. Seat yourself kind of place which we thought seemed very homely. Waitress came right away and took our drink order. I ordered an ice tea which wasn't to my liking only because it had cinnamon in it. I'm not a fan of cinnamon that's the only reason why I didn't like it. We ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer.( Not free) Chips were warm like they just made them and the two different types of salsa were good. The chunky one was homemade. The wifey ordered a red chilli burrito enchilada style. Keep in mind they make their own tortillas there. Her food was great. Meat was good and the red sauce was very tasty. I ordered the chorizo plate. It had chorizo, onion and potatoes in it. It wasn't bad but it lacked a little flavor. The beans were homemade, which were very good and the fresh homemade tortilla was excellent. At the end with our bill we got 2 homemade sugar cookies. Wife said they were very good. I would recommend this place. Great setting, home feel, great service and good food. See...
Read moreI’m very picky about my green chili so I reluctantly ordered it for lunch today at El Bravo and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious food and very pleasant staff just wish I lived or worked closer.
I would ignore the comments that talk about lacking authenticity as those comments are ignorant like all Mexican regions have the same style food. Makes as much sense as someone going to a southern restaurant in the U.S. and expecting it to taste like a restaurant on the west coast and claiming their American food lacks authenticity when the south is clearly different than the west coast, which is different from midwest which is different from the northeast, etc.
Many who live in Arizona and have ties to Mexico (which is many of us) simply think all Mexican food should taste like what they ate growing up which is obviously influenced by where in Mexico our exposure was, not tasting like what these people grew up on does not mean it lacks...
Read moreI used to come here all the time before COVID and it was my first time in post COVID on Friday 11/24. I ordered two chicken enchiladas and two sour cream enchiladas by themselves, with chips and salsa. Online the menu is different from the store, I called to place my order, was not given a total. When I went inside to pick up my food it was $42 total, which is a $5 increase per enchilada which is not what the online menu stated. When I asked about the price increase I was told they have new owners and can not access their website and the menu is incorrect. This is disgraceful and bad customer service to not give the total of the food over the phone when you know the menus are different online than in store. It is so sad because this place used to be so good and I will not be...
