We went there Thanksgiving Thursday and met the Owner, Amanda and patrons were all amazing. Great prices and fun!
However, there was a shift change and the burger I ordered was burned (the bread and meat) so I returned it and ordered a pretzel/cheese. When we tabbed out, the person working the bar got verbally aggressive because we questioned the bill, as they charged for the burned burger and for the number of hoodies we were buying (she charged us for 2, only wanted the 1 that I put on). She pushed past my sister’s seat and on her way back to bar told us we were “77’d”.
Guessing 77 in Arizona means ”not permitted to return”. All we did to get banned was politely question why we were charged for a visibly burned, inedible burger and double charged for hoodie.
After the incident with the afternoon shift staff member, I tossed my paid-for hoodie in their trash, because I refuse to advertise for a business that allows this behavior from the staff.
We won’t ever want to return to an establishment that bans someone for questioning the billing total, when the questions were very politely worded.
I sincerely hope the owner sees this and has a discussion with that one team member, because she can destroy an excellent reputation,...
Read moreI had been a regular for the occasional night of pool and enjoyed myself. I noticed a lot of regulars and everyone kept to themselves, mostly. I was new to the state and wasn't a part of the "crowd", but it didn't bother me. One evening I arrived and was speaking with an older man (84?) who was celebrating the birth of his newest grandchild, he was fairly intoxicated, but pleasant enough. When we entered, the bartender immediately starts yelling, obscenely, at him! I was quite startled! I asked her what happened when she turned her venom on me. I was appalled and reasonably offended by the tongue lashing for an innocent question. It truly felt like a moment out of "The Twilight Zone". I remained professional despite the continued berating and insults. I was clearly confused over her verbal assaults...This man must have really gotten under her skin for her to strike at anything nearby. Shaking my head Needless to say, I am no longer welcome there because I spoke to the wrong person outside the bar, I guess....Se la vie! Nothing special...Except that I had my first 8-ball break there :-) I won a $0.25 from...
Read moreRum Runners is a friendly neighborhood bar that on any given day has some sort of fun activity including shuffleboard contest, goldfish racing and giant jenga contest to name a few. They are currently hosting a free comedy show once a month. Drink prices are reasonable and comparable to other bars in the area. You can save even more money when you wear your Rum Runners gear on a certain day. Most of the bartenders are friendly and engage with the customers. In addition to shuffleboard there is a pool table, a snack station and Touch Tunes so you can play an unlimited amount of my favorite songs for me. Oh, and I can't forget the touchscreen games on the bar that keep me at an advantage over my good buddy...
