I had the WORST experience I ever have with any restaurant tonight. I would give this 0 stars if I could because it really doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Came in to pick up my order. I was told “it’s almost done we’re just waiting on 1 item” so I asked how long bc I had a car full of people waiting around the corner. She stated “less than 5 min” So I went back in 35 min later and asked if she could please check on the order. SUPER rude she told me there was someone standing there checking so they would get it if it were ready. I asked “can you please just check it has been more than 5 min” she argued again and said she would. She then proceeded to the table behind her and then went to go get 4 waters and never checked on my order. After over promising, under delivering and not even apologizing for the wait nor offering me a water… a man asked if I had been helped. I stated I was just waiting on a to go do you mind checking it? He said “it can be another 35 min” I said that was fine and I didn’t mind waiting to which he rudely told me I could just be refunded then. I left without foo!! I called the business once I left and was dead hung up on by the same RUDE guy named Phillip. So glad I wasted 45 min and paid $40 to leave with absolutely NO food. Unreal! Will never be back to this location!!!!!! DO...

Food quality Outstanding! Service was friendly, attentive and helpful... initially. It was a bit confusing because many people were checking on us but you really couldn't tell who our actual server was...group effort. Also, perhaps one of the people was the manager checking on us but we wouldn't know because there were no title introductions. Additionally, we were celebrating a birthday and although there were verbal acknowledgements there was no offer of a birthday dessert which is usually the case. The only other thing that I would suggest would be the more diligent clearing of dirty plates from the table. We had paid our check and until we started stacking plates at the edge of the table no one seemed to care that all of these empty plates were all over the table. There wasn't even a mention of dessert as an upsell at the end of the meal... Weird. Despite these complaints we had a lovely time and WE WILL BE BACK! Sushi, sashimi and all the food was DELISH! In addition...We were thrilled to find Luis working the sushi bar. We've known him for 20+ years from Sakana (actually more). We will be back just because he is with you. He's the best! Glad you are all here. All complaints are just...

Appetizer: Edamame, Spicy Sashimi Salad, and Sexy Crab Sushi: Kodo roll, OMG roll, and Salmon Lover Drinks: Lavender Margarita and Takara (Plum Wine) *Dined in for 3 people and cleared every single plate!

Kodo Sushi exceeded way beyond our expectations! The dishes do not skimp on fish whatsoever, and they taste super fresh! The sushi rice is purple rice, which personally, tastes lighter and better than sushi’s standard white rice. The Kodo roll comes with seared bluefin tuna, and it was delicious! You can really point out the seared tuna flavor. The Spicy Sashimi Salad didn’t skimp on any of the fish meats whatsoever, and can be a light meal in itself. The OMG roll and Salmon Lover were also delicious! Each roll had its own specialty flavor and didn’t disappoint us at any point. The drinks were superb esp the Lavender Margarita was slightly sweet and they don’t shy away from giving you a good amount of tequila. The Takara (Plum Wine) was more on the sweeter side, it reminded me of apple juice — except plum flavored. So if you like sweeter cocktails, this wine is a great option! Ben is awesome with exceptional service! I would highly recommend this...

I usually go to the original Kodo off Northsight and Hayden but was pleasantly surprised they opened another location closer to me. Trust me I was not complaining about that. I love all their food and I love how it’s a “family” feel environment. It was also reassuring when I came in I recognized a few familiar faces, which told me the food would be just as good as the original location. My go to here is the sashimi salad and omakase. $39 bucks for an Omakase is a crazy good deal and honestly you could just order that and be set. I’m pretty stuffed after all that. My girlfriend and I been here a lot and probably had at least half the items on the menu and nothing has disappointed us.

The people. The food. 10/10. No notes. Except for the cranky bartender lady. We have been loyal customers of the first location and when this recent location opened up, we could not wait to make it our new stomping grounds! We enjoy sushi all around the valley & this is hands-down the best quality fish. Every roll is amazing. Crunchy mango is a good place to start and Kode roll is phenomenal! Seared toro and salmon melt in your mouth and make sure you get a side of spicy Ponzu. I could go on and on, but it’s best you just stop in, you will not be disappointed! Huge selection sake!!!!!!
