Los Armando's — Restaurant in Phoenix

I find my way into this drivethru on accident. I have driven by thousands of times, but never stopped, mostly because there are at least a dozen other places on my route home, tonight though while being blocked by an "out of state unwanted alien" you can recognize them by their expired out of state plates..(Sandiegoans, portlandians, vegasites) it is impossible to anticipate what irrational driving decisions these immigrants are going to make. (Take the Mexico Wall and move it around the state borders. I much prefer the personalities of our Mexican/Arizonan people) los Armando's was the last place I could stop to pick up dinner. I was stressed about traffic .....got to the speaker.... ready to be rude.... When a friendly clear voice at a reasonable volume greeted me... And took my order with precision...I got to the window and was once again handled with precision...when I got home I enjoyed a meal that was fresh, balanced in flavor and prepared PERFECTLY! Thank you los Armando's for giving me a positive experience to end my otherwise...

I've been staying across the street for about three months now, and go here several times a week the main lady that works there is always very rude to me, she overcharged me a few times, does not want to provide me extra salsa even if I over to pay for it. She gives me attitude no matter how nice I am, honestly think she's prejudice against me because she doesn't treat other people from my complex that way. I tried placing an order over the phone so so I had to do was pick it up and she's hung up on me when my neighbor called right back and placed my order no problem. I really don't understand the bad reviews. I've eaten there several times in the past, and again tonite with a couple of friends, and never had a bad experience. Tonite, the young man who took out orders was very pleasant, the food was ready in a short time, it was hot, and very delicious. Also, the prices are quite reasonable - closer to $ than $$. What more could you want? They have a huge menu too, that includes seafood. I intend to keep going back until I've tried everything. I should add that this is not a big chain, just a small independent. For that reason, we paid in cash. I think that's just common courtesy. When we left, that transaction was done - no bank fees, no...
