Love love love the food and being able to order from the drive thru menu outside while on foot, or riding a bicycle is something very special indeed and in my personal experience is a welcome breath of fresh air as it is something of a phenomenon and completely unique to this place. I've never seen that kind of service allowed at any other drive thru place anywhere ever! the breakfast burrito is always my number 1 go-to whenever I head to any Mexican food place with the only exception being the entire Fillibertos Mexican food chain. for some reason every Fillibertos I have ever visited has never not even once been able to provide a breakfast burrito without undercooked bacon, even though every time I order one I specifically ask for extra extra crispy bacon. Anyway this place has one of the best bacon egg and cheese breakfast burritos in town. something about them just makes them taste extra bomb, admittedly it is a little more greesy than just about any other places burritos but personally that's one of the reasons I think they taste as good as they do. but then again I'm the type that thinks the more messy and more greesy food is the better it tastes. lol the only thing I don't like is they charge for the side of pico de gayo but its a small price to pay in exchange for being able to order at the drive thru menu without being in a vehcle and at every hour they are open. I just think that is the...
Read moreBean and cheese burrito. The basic, You have to try one. The beans have a light color to them. They are never dark brown, never ever dry. In 20+ years they have been very consistent with the food. I have never once had a bad experience. 5 stars on food 5 stars on service 5 stars for the consistency. For those wondering if this building was originally a Taco Bell, it was not. In the early 1980's it was a place called Taco Delight- a little like Del Taco except they actually had good tacos (.29 each with the coupon in the PennySaver). The building still shows the Taco Delight paint. They didn't change much inside but their food is amazing. It went straight from Taco Delight to Rolberto's. I really miss Taco delight but Rolberto's Rocks!! When I go there now I buy 5 or 8 burritos and freeze them. Same family has been running this place since day one. Good people.

Read moreWent through the drive-thru at about 9pm on a Saturday night. We got the rolled tacos with Guacamole and cheese, a carne asada burrito, and a carne asada quesadilla. The hot sauce is fantastic, the service was friendly, and the food was made fresh and was still hot when we got it home 20 mins away.
The rolled tacos and carne asada are reminiscent of the famous Roberto's taco shops from San Diego. This is what we've been looking for in Phoenix for over a year. Prices are great, portions are generous - we highly recommend this to anyone looking for classic Mexican food Baja/SoCal style. Worth the drive and the wait!
Tip: the only thing I would add is that the carne asada quesadilla did not have Guacamole or Pico in it, as I am used to getting. Next time I will add it...
