Dr. Rimer is closed minded and under educated. He was more interested in him being a superior to a subordinate marine, as he seemed satisfied in demeaning me. I made it very clear I was not anymore in the Marine Corps that I was not a marine, that I was a patient in severe dire need of help after malpractice from his buddy. My skin is broken open because of an unknown disease that makes circular patterns and he completely dismissed it on the basis of the opinion that didnāt cover my entire back ābecause I canāt touch my entire backā which was completely incorrect and I can demonstrate thereās not a spot on my body I canāt touch. He did not take in consideration that I was reacting to pain and causing the sores to get worse, but I was not causing the sores. And then he wanted to do the biopsy on good skin instead of the part thatās ill and diseased. When I come across doctors that want to do this, I know theyāre quacks, why would a doctor want to take a sample of good tissue instead of disease tissue? Thatās just stupid. Heās just stupid and he needs to go back to the Air Force where he can focus on rank rather than medicine as he is doing. Also, I was not drug seeking, but since Iām in a lot of pain, I expected some kind of help and he completely refused and bragged about how he never prescribes serious pain relief. I informed him how Iāve been on doxycycline for at least six months and he continued that prescription And it does not help or work. I went to the VA Hospital and complained about Iām at my limit and I canāt take it anymore and I threaten them with the WhiteHouse veteran whistleblowers hotline. Finally getting help from the VA they put me on three very strong antibiotics that was not doxycycline. As other patients have complained about the rudeness of the staff, there is one girl there that seems like sheās better than everyone else and she lets you know it. Sheās not rude, but she is passive hostel, Sheās good at her job. I just donāt think she likes it or the people she has to deal with. I gave two stars because Rimerās secondary personality is polite and he did do the biopsy, even though it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to this dermatology office for many many years. I originally saw Dr Tripp and she was absolutely amazing. Since then, I have seen the two female PAs that they have had and Iāve never had a problem up until now. Long story short, I was in the office in May and was given a prescription and was told that we would āfollow upā in a month or so to find out how the meds were working so that we could slowly increase the dosage. I specifically asked the medical assistant if we could do this via the portal or if I could call in as it is very difficult for me to get time off of work and she stated that it was totally fine. I was running out of meds and messaged on the portal that I wasnāt having any side effects and if I could please get a refill on my prescription. I had also talked to the medical assistant a couple times over the phone and had followed up with her on how things were going. I was then told that I could not get any more of my prescription without an appointment. When I asked that someone pls call me she was very short and basically just said well thereās nothing we can do, our hands are tied so I was then left with no prescriptions. I then called into the office and left a message for the office manager to call me. Never heard back. I called the office again and spoke to someone at the front desk and was assured that the office manager would call me by the end of the following business day. Never heard a word. In all the years I have been coming here, I have never had these types of problems. I have recommended many people to this office and will no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis practice lost 2 patients today due to the laziness and incompetent staff. I called 2 days ago for an appointment for my husband (established) patient. I told the girl making the appointment that he has new insurance, she said just bring in the card, I again asked you don't want to verify prior to his appointment, she said just bring in the card. So upon arriving for his visit, we started updating his info. and then was asked to call his PCP to have them fax a referral. No referral is needed, so to save a scene in the office I called the health plan and verified the referral inquiry, NO REFERRAL IS NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR HIS PLAN. . I asked the front desk to talk to the insurance plan that was on the phone call. They refused stating their computer says one is required. Back and forth we go. I asked "don't you verify ins. cvg prior to visits"? Answer: yes we do, and we did. Replied: how could you when you dont ask for updated insurance???? After all all 5 staff members chimed in on their insurance expertise. One saying he can be seen but you'll get billed for the visit. I declined said cancel the appointment because I know how fast they refund $$$ (4 mo and numerous call, with no returned calls) in my experience. We will be seeking another Derm with experienced staff. In reading past reviews its clear what the issue is. Train your staff in all aspects of customer/ insurance services. Hint: save your time complaining to a practice manager,...
