I am not out in the Phoenixville area very often. Since we were, we wanted to try and find something unique. Guatemalan Kitchen delivered.

Describing Guatemalan Kitchen as a hole in the wall does not really do it justice. You enter the building into a sizable and very clean seating area. We had to head to the back to check out menus and place our orders. You also grab your own drinks from their refrigerators. In the back there are also a mini grocery offerings. However, once ordered, we could seat ourselves and wait as they would bring out the food.

Everything we ordered food wise delivered tremendous value. We got the ceviche, which came in a huge margarita type glass and was full of shrimp. It was also very tasty and we went as far as to dip our other items in to get every last drop. The Guatemalan Enchiladas were a bit tricky for me to eat, but had great flavor. Something about the beets that tied everything together! Finally, the Dobladas were a rock solid addition for a minimum price. Again, beyond the pure quality, this restaurant delivered high value.

Guatemalan Kitchen is a clear recommend imo. I might even make a special trip to Phoenixville to...

Let me tell you this was the worst door dash order experience I have ever had, if was not the driver's fault either! I ordered faluatas they had no cheese in them, they were so dry and nasty I threw it away. The restaurant also forgot the sour cream to dip them in and the side salad was so subpar. Next, my sister ordered 3 different types of pupusas all for them to have beans and cheese when she paid extra for meat. Additionally, there was no option online to choose a side order of rice. We called the restaurant and the manager instructed us to place the order on door dash as an additional horchata when in reality they would add rice to the order. Of course we had 3 horchatas, which were all watered down and terrible, and NO rice. All the salsa is the same as well no matter what you order. Thankfully we got our money bank after a bank dispute. Don't waste your time here. We even called to try to rectify the situation and there as such a bad language barrier with the manager we were unable to come...

Guatemala Kitchen is an absolute gem, and if you’re thinking about just ordering takeout don’t! Dining in is the way to go.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is top-notch. The staff makes you feel right at home, treating you like family from the moment you walk in. They’re attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve.

Speaking of food it’s incredible. Every dish is bursting with authentic flavors, and you can tell a lot of love and care goes into every bite. From rich, savory stews to perfectly grilled meats and handmade tortillas, everything tastes homemade and full of tradition.

Dining in lets you enjoy the full experience fresh, hot plates straight from the kitchen, vibrant aromas, and the chance to try dishes you might not think to order for takeout.

If you haven’t been yet, make plans to stop by and eat in. You’ll leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and a craving...

1st time in town and I love this place! Down-to-earth, delicious, and satisfying Central-American food! Reasonably priced. Comfortable atmosphere, and the staff are friendly. The regulars are friendly as well. Not much English being spoken, but the menu is translated. Very hospitable place to eat, regardless. Entrees are not too big, not too small. A perfect meal before a show at the Colonial theater next door! I highly recommend it! Park behind the restaurant in the paid lot and walk up between the restaurant and theater buildings. Nice little courtyard with a huge, beautiful atlas painted on the restaurant side wall!

This is a truly authentic Guatemalan place. I'm not a huge fan of Guatemalan food, but wanted to try this place out. The guacamole and chips were really good, and the seafood soup (only on Sundays) was great too. I thought the Guatemalan enchiladas had too much cabbage for my liking, but they were beautiful. The fried plantains were amazingly mushy and over-ripe. Overall, the food was good, but not a place to go if you're looking for spicy food
