I recently visited with two other people. We went because we enjoy shabu. The logo is Pho Shack and has crab boil and shabu shabu. When we arrive there was no shabu.
Right when you walk in the music is too loud and difficult to have a conversation.
We ordered the egg roll, combination pho, brisket pho and a banh mi.
The egg rolls were good, would order again if I went back.
The combination pho was ok. Broth was a little too sweet and had an adequate amount of meat. The noodles were still cold/clumped up at the bottom and took a while to soften up.
The brisket pho had the same broth that was slightly too sweet but had a lot of meat. The brisket was too thick and tough to chew.
The Bahn Mi was pretty good, we ordered the pork bahn mi. The pork was seasoned well, it could have use a bit more veggies but overall it was great. The bread was nice and soft with a great taste. Would order again.
Overall it was an ok place, I will probably give this place another chance before I go back to my default...
Read moreTried to come today for sit-down service and did not succeed. So I came with my family and we awkwardly stood there in front of the workers to be seated. They just ignored us for a while and said nothing. Finally one of them asked if we wanted to be seated and I said yes. And we were told to sit at a specific numbered table. We waited there at the table awkwardly again for 10 minutes. The workers ignored us again. And no one came to take our order. So I told my wife we'll wait 3 more minutes and then we'll leave. The time passed and we got up to leave and so we left. The workers continued to simply ignore us. The place wasn't even very busy. I felt like we were in "Bizarro World". Very rude place. So we went to Pollo Loco instead. They were very polite, accommodating and they acknowledged us right away. We got the food very quickly and were out of there in way less time than we spent at the Pho Shack waiting to be seated and to place our order. VERY BAD, RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL EXPERIENCE &...
Read moreWas looking for a new Pho place to try. This spot had a lot of great reviews and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is inviting and the food is delicious! I’ve had other Pho spots and this one had the best flavor by far. They didn’t offer spice levels like one of the others spots I’ve been to, but luckily they had some self-serve chilli oil on the table to help heat things up. I will say that although the food was great and the employees were nice, the service wasn’t all that good after placing your order. It looks like it’s family owned and only has about 4 employees working there so maybe they need a few more employees to help with the service. Aside from that I will definitely be coming back.
Quick side note: I noticed one person on yelp found a small piece of plastic in their pho. Didn’t think much of it until I found what looked to be a thin sponge fiber in my pho and my wife found a long hair in hers. Maybe just a coincidence, but definitely keeping that in mind in case it...
