I purchased their Groupon offer for the dinner for 2 people for $32 for the hibachi side of the restaurant. I had called ahead of time to ask if I needed to make a reservation for the hibachi & I was told yes so I made a reservation for 8 pm. I had to push my reservation back to 8:15 to make sure that I made it on time so I had called back almost 7 pm & they told me they pushed my reservation back even though the person didn’t even ask for my name to make sure they had the right reservation, they just hung up on me. I arrive there at 8:10 & told the person at the front desk that we had a reservation & she said she couldn’t find it. I politely told her that I spoke to 2 people about my reservation & she still told me they had no reservation for me then proceeded to tell me that we had to wait another 20 mins since we didn’t have a reservation. At this point I was getting upset because I was specifically told we had to make a reservation so we were told that we could sit down & just eat instead of doing the hibachi & they would still offer the Groupon. Another man then came up who I’m assuming is the owner & he said they don’t even take reservations. They were both going back & forth arguing right in front of me & my other guest for dinner until they decided to finally seat us. The food was ok, could’ve had better somewhere else. The server we had was great & he was the only good thing about this place. Then they automatically included an 18% tip but on the receipt it said tips were recommended. These people don’t know how to run a business & you can tell they clearly have no idea what they were doing. You’re better off spending the money to go elsewhere for better quality food. Should’ve known this place was going to be a mess after seeing how the front of this building looked a mess & there were people waiting to be seated for hibachi when the restaurant wasn’t even full. Will never return here. Save your money & go...
Read moreSeen a Groupon deal that sounded too good to be true. We ordered the hibachi meal for 4 and decided to give this restaurant a try. First off it was not what the Groupon says. They charge you 4 for 59.99 on the Groupon. When you get to the restaurant they state taxes and gratuity not included. I have no problem tipping as a service worker myself but when you itemize the entire check on how much each meal should have been and calculated the taxes and tips on the gross total. We ended up spending not only 59.99 on the meal (on Groupon) and then had to pay an additional $67 dollars after the dinner service. The entire meal came out to $128. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant. Besides the price, we had a reservation at 8. We arrived around 7:30 and were told well it would be a thirty minute wait. Which was anticipated since we arrived early. 8:00 rolls around and we are told oh well we can’t seat you until another 30 minutes because we just sat a large party. Already upset having to wait extra when we arrived. Finally to top it off we got sat and had to wait an additional 45 minutes for dinner service to start. The food was sub par. The meats were not portioned per person. My partner ended up with barely any steak after everyone had been served. The food was overly salty. And the chef served us the vegetables last after they had been cooking for 30 minutes. The chef cooked the shrimp first when my partner is allergic to shellfish. All the meats were cooked on top of shellfish. They were complete mush. At the end of this rant I didn’t appreciate how fast the staff tried to get us to leave after the chef finished. I was so upset I didn’t even finish my food, I got up and left. This restaurant doesn’t. Deserve the three stars it has. The only positive remark I have was the chef and waitress was very nice. The hostess had an attitude. Don’t waste your time. Spend the extra couple dollars and go to Kobe...
Read moreHorrible service! We called ahead to make a reservation and we’re told it was not needed. When we got there we got a bad attitude from someone at the front desk and very rude. We waited to be served a while an until we get we said something about the wait we were seated and then waited a while again until we asked to start our drink order. The person who served us was not a server and said he would do us the favor of attending to us and do the cooking. The total time of our hibachi service was barely 15min and that includes prep time. We did not have any sort of entertainment. I see pictures of others with the volcano en fire and we had none of that. We had two kids with us who had been to hibachi dinners before and knew what to expect and it was so disappointing. Then when the check came they had added the gratuity which we felt they did not deserve at all so we had it removed. There was a lady going from table to table assisting and every time she came to our table she was very rude. We would not recommend this service to anyone. We had a Groupon and had read previous reviews and pictures but that was only true possibly with parties who pay full price so they are treated differently it seems. Never again! We were rushed and didn’t even have time to enjoy our food so we took it to go but threw it out because two of us had ordered shrimp and it had a strange taste like some kind of chemical. We were there from out of town and for a birthday celebration and it was not even acknowledged. We have been to other hibachi’s in our home town many times and never had this kind of treatment. They are...
