After the better part of a weekend spent shopping around for a mattress for my daughter at a number of mattress and furniture stores, I happened across the Mattress Store across from Florida Mall. My daughter has back issues due to a surgery and is limited on the type and style mattress she can comfortably sleep on. The owner, Yogi, was able to hook us up with an outstanding deal on a plush full size Jamison brand mattress for $550! Similar quality mattresses I saw at the other stores were in the $1000-$1500 range. The mattress featured an attractive grey, white and black cover that can be unzipped to remove for future cleaning. I also like the fact that Jamison is made in the USA. One other major issue we came across while mattress shopping was availability. Due to the Covid crisis, apparently there is a supply shortage on the materials for most mattresses, so we were being advised of several months wait time before we could take delivery of a mattress. My daughter was distraught. However, Yogi called his supplier on the spot and was able to arrange for delivery in exactly 2 weeks, which was about 10 weeks sooner than we were being told elsewhere. My daughter loves her mattress, I saved money and we were able to get the product months sooner than most everywhere else. Definitely a win-win-win. I first want to mention that my family has recently gone through an excruciating time with the loss of a loved one. Having said that the manager of the store on Sandlake Rd in Orlando was great with us. I've Never dealt with a kinder more compassionate person in a sales position as this man. He handled us with the utmost respect and empathy. He could not have been more understanding and helpful from the moment we walked in to the moment he delivered the goods. He renewed my faith in people and left me with a feeling of hope for the future. Both the salesman and manager were such great people. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but when I do it’s because of exceptional service. The salesman Hector knew the exact bed I wanted and told me to wait for them to bring it to the store one day so I could feel it even though I was about to buy another mattress. I felt this new mattress the next day and it was even better and for a great price. I bought it and the manager went out of his way to help deliver it to me. It seems like these people are really here to help you not just sell you a mattress....
