One of the best coffees in Miami, even better service.
The lattes here are unbelievable, they roast their own beans fresh and it shows. The flavor profile is simply fantastic and one of only two places in Miami I've found so far where the coffee has no bitter aftertaste, it's a smooth experience beginning to end.
They have a great variety of flavors, but I like going plain latte with no sweetener of any kind so I can get a good feel for the roast, and it's still one of the most flavorful cups of coffee I've had in South Florida. There's simply no other place like it South of Sunset Place, if you are in Pinecrest or Palmetto Bay stop looking, this is the best and only place to go if you want a well made, flavorful cup of coffee.
They also put as much thought and care into their customer service as they do on their coffee, my wife and I got a couple of coffees and even though we were wearing masks they remembered our order the next time we went a week later, now that is impressive! I now go here once or twice a week, I would go every day if my budget allowed it. I feel fortunate to have found this place!
By the way, they are also following great COVID protocols! Plexiglass with only an opening big enough to hand you the coffee and handle payments, everyone's wearing masks, I definitely I appreciate the emphasis on safety, it's another reason I keep...
Read moreI'm trying to make it a habit to try as many local coffee shops as I can this year and had heard wonderful things about Brewing Buddha, so last Saturday we made the drive down to try them out and I'm really glad we did! there are some super unique and tasty sounding things on their menu, but we ended up setting on a midnight coconut iced latte and a hot creme brûlée latte with a ham and cheese bagel. Both of the lattes were AMAZING, the midnight coconut one was like a liquid almond joy, i could have had a gallon of it! the creme brûlée latte was good too they top it with a sprinkle of sugar and torch it. I found that one to be VERY sweet, with the combo of torched sugar and vanilla, it was a little overwhelming. I didn't make any modifications to it, and I did see that there was the option for 'sweet/less sweet/sugar free' on the menu and next time I go i will ask for less sweet for sure. The bagel was the only thing that left me underwhelmed, just a plan bagel with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese put through a toaster. I know thats kinda what it says it was but for a place with so many unique offerings i was expecting more. I wouldn't order that again. Next time I'd like to try the dark chocolate peanut butte cup latte or one of their specialty tea blends. Overall...
Read moreI have always enjoyed small artsy coffee shops. When I found this place on yelp I had high hopes. My wife and I ordered our favorites (her a pumpkin spice latte and me a sweet cream cold brew). Also ordered a bagel with guava and cream cheese. While everything was good I am not sure it was worth the $20 price tag. The bagel was tasty, very dense, but under toasted if toasted at all. The cream cheese, guava, and strawberries were fresh. Unfortunately, the strawberries overpowered the unique flavor of the guava which was a bit of a disappointment. The coffees were passable. The cold brew came in a mason jar type mug that might have held 12oz. More ice than coffee. Slight chemical taste for some reason. The pumpkin spice latte my wife ordered was better than the cold brew but the “pumpkin spice” part was underwhelming. Why 4-stars? The staff was great, the decor is charming, and there is promise. I’d go again to try something different, but not often because of...
