I have not eaten here in some time. I decided to have lunch today. I ordered the 3 taco special. You can have chicken or beef. I like beef normally. I stood at the counter for like 5 minutes and nobody helped. Finally, they took my order. 3 beef tacos with lettuce, tomatoe, cheese and the supposed Chipotle sauce. Only like 10 dollars. Good deal. But. The meat was so disgusting, greasy, had absolutely no flavor what so ever. I did not taste Chipotle sauce BTW. The condiments they have are salsa, spicy atomic sauce and some other nasty Ness. Firstly, the salsa literally tastes like straight from a jar. So nasty. The atomic sauce is ok. The shells on my tacos were hard and the meat if you can call it that was greasy and had absolutely no flavor at all. The girls that work there basically are just walking around cleaning. One of them had her boyfriend there that just delivered them Starbucks. And They paid more attention to him than anyone else. I had the chicken tacos a few months ago BTW AND THEY were so dry and nasty with no salt or flavor you have no idea. I also seen a girl taking away a can of nasty refried beans to throw out. That's what they serve. Canned refried beans and gross beef stuff. Just stay away. Trust me.I hate to say it but Chipotle is...
Read moreI've been eating at this place or the one up by University of Miami for many years... maybe 20+ years. Originally it was relatively good value, nothing fancy but good food with great lunch specials. The salsa bar has always been a major attraction. If you went at the wrong time, youd have to wait a bit for a table. It was super popular. At some point over the past 20 years I started focusing on the more healthy meals here and they have kept me coming back. I've always liked their tortilla soup which seems to have just the right smokiness in the flavor. Try it. Then they have a great spinach and mushroom quesadilla. Made with fresh spinach. Now they have vegan and vegetarian options. A great veggie bowl, etc. This is not a high end restaurant, it is good food at great values. They recently wowed me with their mole enchiladas. Not the best I've ever had, but good enough. Great spiciness and complexity in this special sauce. And not expensive. And some of the people have been there from the beginning. Very nice...
