Great Boba, But a Troubling Experience My family and I recently visited Smile and Say Tea, and the boba drinks were absolutely delicious. The texture was perfect—chewy and sweet—and the flavor combinations were fantastic. It's safe to say they have some of the best boba in the area. We were having a really enjoyable time together. However, our experience was significantly dampened by a few issues. First, the app notified us that our order was ready for pickup, but when we arrived, our drinks weren't actually prepared, which led to a bit of a wait. More concerning, though, was the behavior of a homeless individual who was harassing customers waiting or sitting. We watched as at least three different customers chose to leave because of the uncomfortable situation. Ultimately, my family and I also had to cut our visit short and leave. Read moreI was thrilled to see that Say Tea & Smile opened a location near me since I’ve always enjoyed visiting the Coral Gables spot. Naturally, I had high expectations when I ordered two drinks: the Ube Butterfly Latte and the Butterfly Pea Thai Tea, both with tapioca pearls. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the experience.
After mixing the drinks, they tasted mostly like plain milk, with little of the flavor I was expecting. Additionally, the tapioca pearls were mushy and lacked the usual chewy texture that makes them enjoyable. For $23 (including tip) for two drinks, I hoped for better quality and value.
On top of that, the girl taking my order wasn’t pleasant or helpful, which added to the disappointing experience.
I really want to support this business, and I hope they can improve the flavor and service to match their other location in the Gables.

Read moreI'm so disappointed with this place I drove so far because they recommend me good coffee here and the place doesn't have change for $20 bill, there coffee was $10 and all I had in my pocket was 29 so they don't have change for the 20th and they couldn't give me the coffee because it was their fault for $9 , what a business that carries no change with a couple Employers in there that they could get in a car and go change ,, I tell you that they really know how to do business that's embarrassing.. Or there just forcing everybody to do credit cards maybe they do fraud clone cards it was just fishy I in front of me there was people paying with cash and they gave him change and then suddenly me and the rest of the people they did...
