Chili's-Orange, TX
Just 2 pictures and 1 video. One of my plate and napkin after i consolidated everything. And one of the bill. Just One bad (I like to end on a good note): so apparently they charge you $1.99 to play the table game. I wish i knew this up front. It wouldn't stop me from letting Deuce play to keep him entertained while waiting on the food or while waiting for the adults to finish eating. It keeps him from being mischievous and allows me to keep my sanity and enjoy my meal. But it would be nice to know in the case of us watching our budget.
Now on to the greatness: hubs and i had the margarita special. It was pretty strong, so i have him my other half. But it was good!! I had the triple Dipper with sw eggrolls, big mouth bites, and chicken crisps. Hubs had just the sw eggrolls. We are addicts of the eggrolls. They are delicious with the avacado ranch! I like the big mouth bites and chicken crisps because it's like a little entree buffet AND i still get to order an entree! Deuce got the chicken crisps and fries with honey mustard and Heinz 57 (he's 5) for dipping sauce. He ate all of it except a few fries he shared with me before going back to the tablet at the table. Tells you he had no complaints! Lulu had a whopping 12 bites of regular mashed potatoes and white gravy!! She was humming while eating them. So we know that was a "yes ma'am" from her. "Hmmmmmm" Hubs had the boss burger. I don't think I've seen that many different kinds of meat on a burger all at once in my life. He is my carnivore "Big Daddie-Rex". He devoured it without any complaint. 🙌🙌🙌 Now before you say anything about how i like my steak, let me tell you that your opinion amounts to a grain of sugar in that margarita from earlier. 😜😜😜 My well done ribeye was well done, and still tender and plenty juicy. Had 100% all the flavor it needed. And was just what i look for in a steak. I had the loaded mashed potatoes and opted for the street corn instead of broccoli... Though i do enjoy their broccoli i was craving that corn. It was EVERYTHING i had hoped for when Deuce picked to eat at Chili's today. Now to the best part of the whole meal.... You see, i was raised by my mama and a little Cajun couple (her parents). So i can cook myself. I can serve and wash dishes too. So when i go out to eat i want good food (though great food is better), but great service is what makes it enjoyable for me. And Mr Brandon did THAT!! He was attentive without hovering. But came with everything we asked for. Made sure we were set up to perfection. Made conversation, but allowed us to eat without having to talk with our mouths full. He was on his game today. Never skipped a beat or dropped the ball. He hit a Grand slam today!! (Baseball Mom) ⚾ If y'all go in the future ask for Brandon. If y'all know his boss, let him know he's got a top notch server in Orange, tx. 🌶️🌶️🌶️
PS: Lulu loved the music! Even put the learning station videos on hold to dance to "Brick House".😜 She gets her moves from...
Read moreI went to this Chili's to enjoy a meal with a friend and his gf on 12/30/18 @1630. Upon arrival, I was greeted relatively quickly by the male bartender who grabbed my drink/appetizer order, and alerted me they were changing shifts and I would be greeted by my waitress soon. He came back with my drink within a timely manner and I placed an order for a quesadilla explosion salad. At this point my friends were walking through the door. They sat down and roughly 6-8 minutes later, our waitress arrived and took their drink orders. When she returned with their drinks, my appetizer came with her. My friends ordered a mixed drink and a dinner for two option. We waited nearly 15 minutes before she returned again. She refilled our drinks and told us the food would be out shortly. Five or so minutes later she returned with one pasta entree. My salad had yet to come, their mixed drink, or the chilli he ordered. We waited another 12-15 minutes. When she returned to fill drinks, I politely asked if my salad was near completion. She asked "what salad?". I expressed when I put the order in and she mentioned it might have been lost in in the shift change. She told me she'd ring me up for one but I declined. It had been roughly an hour since I came into the restaurant and I had yet to see my meal. I asked to her to make sure the salad wasn't on my bill and to bring me my check. She returned after few minutes and I paid my $9 bill (before tip), and left. My buddy never received his chilli, and his girlfriend never received her drink. I didn't act upset or cause a scene but silently vowed to never return again. That was probably the worst restaurant service have ever experienced, and I waited tables. I thoroughly understand the problems one encounters. Nonetheless, the waitress/bartender's attitude was care free, and strange. If she wasn't "on something", then I'd be surprised. She was very friendly but acted very strange. When my buddy was trying to grab a to-go box, he said she asked him if the "D" on his beanie was his name; After he informed her it stood for Duke University, she immediately bombarded him with info on school courses she (or someone) was taking before instantly directimg her conversation at another customer, mid sentence.
I didn't mention it earlier but at one point, while eating our appetizer, she came and laid a pile of several dirty dishes on our table. She took a few seconds to stack them up how she wanted and then left for the kitchen. These plates with dirty napkins, and other people's half eaten food came from some other party. Why she decided our table was the place to stack them, I will...
Read moreOrdered on the 🌶 app before leaving home. I order a cup of soup, a soup and salad combo, and also a bacon ranch 🐓 quesadilla. Said pick would be @ 7:33 pm. That gave them 24 minutes to have to order ready. I arrived at the to go counter at 7:30. Several people were inside waiting and lots of curbside customers. So I knew I might have to wait a bit. After about 20 minutes when other customers started clearing out. I am informed that no one in the kitchen opened up a new bag of soup to get it heated up. Evidently the soup comes frozen in a bag and has to be placed in a water bath to thaw and then poured in a pot to heat to serving temp. So after being informed the nice young girl rushes off to bag more to go orders. As another orders walk out the door that I know were placed after mine. The young girl comes back and askes if I would like another soup that is already ready. Well I have been waiting close to 45 minutes by now (since order had been placed). So I ask her how much longer will it be for the soup I originally ordered to be ready? Her reply- let me go check. By now I am visibly not happy. Next thing I know a manager comes to the counter and hands me $5.00 gift cards (several) and is apologizing for the wait. About 5 minutes later here she comes with my bag. I left that Chili’s 🌶 at 8:03 exactly 1 hour after placing the order. The food was great that is not my complaint. The reason for this review is the lack of communication in the back of the house. If the soup was ordered and it was low or out someone should have made that a priority to get it going to make sure it would be ready. I have worked in restaurants and my GM would stay in the back of the house and over see the kitchen. He would check soup levels. Salad area, also prep coolers etc. If something was low he immediately had a prep cook or the fry cook take care of it. Or if the prep cooler was low then the ladies in the back prep area stocked it. My wait could have been avoided if they were just communicating with each other. This store has had back of the house problems before when we were dining in. We always go when we are not in a hurry because we never know how long it will take. I hope the management can get things together and make the store better for all involved customers...
