Cherry Ice Cream — Restaurant in Pineville

Today we visited for the first time, and we are happy to see our Latino community building businesses and growing. The place has great potential, but unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. There was little interest in the customer experience: no suggestions, no explanations, and everything felt rushed. The girl at the counter seemed more eager to go inside to talk with a friend, leaving the front completely unattended and losing contact with the customers, rather than making us feel welcomed.

Regarding the food, the cream could definitely be improved, and the ice cream serving was only half a scoop, which felt careless, especially since we were the only customers at the time. When another family arrived, the same rushed attitude was repeated.

I truly hope this review is taken as constructive feedback. You have a business with so much potential, but great service is just as important as the product itself. Food made me violently throw up! I’m not really one to write reviews. But after my experience here I had to. First, just walking in it looks pretty sad. Not really decorated, atmosphere is just sad looking. Then I ordered the brownie with gelato. Brownie tasted like box mix and smelled like dog food. Then my boyfriend who I was with ordered and the girl took over 10min to make his fruit salad when that was the only order she had to make. While making my boyfriend’s food she handled cash and then did not wash her hands after and then proceeded to touch his food with the dirty hands. Once he finally got his order we left. Didn’t end up eating more than 6 bites of my gelato. Only ate 2 bites of the brownie, just didn’t taste good. Immediately after eating my stomach was slightly upset but I didn’t think much of it. Definitely terrible service, the person attending has no charisma whatsoever especially not enthusiastic energy to be greeting or tending to new clients. This was our first time coming from far to specifically try this new place and we just did not feel a welcoming energy. When asking questions we were simply told to read the menu. And they did not meet the basic supplies to serve their full menu. We came for fruit salads and a variety of toppings and they were just completely out of all fruit? Do not recommend this place.
