I really don't wish to be that person because the staff here is always super sweet, but it's really a hit or miss when it comes to this location. I've learned that you either get your food really fast or it takes a little bit. It's a gamble on time which isn't good if you're in a rush, however the food is always cooked well.
With that said, I always try to place my order early to give some time for the food to be made, and I also try to come inside to hopefully make it a little easier for the workers. In which the other day; I had done both:
I had placed my order somewhere around 5:08pm before arriving inside the lobby (which was very clean and well-kept) around 5:15pm. I noticed that there was no bag sitting on the mobile hand-off area, but there was a medium shake, which was a part of my order. I assumed based off that, my order would be ready shortly, so I took a seat. Occasionally, I would glance over to see the process on it. However, after 15 minutes had passed and no bag or mobile order was called, I went to question if maybe something had happened either on my side or their's because life happens. The very nice employee was handling another customer in front of me, so I wasn't able to receive my food until 5:32 pm. That was when I was told it had been misplaced in drive and was completed a while ago.
Miscommunications happen, and it is also my own fault for not asking sooner. However, on any other day, I wouldn't really have felt the need to write a low rating review. The only reason I felt the need to do so today is because I was on break from a very long shift.
Before I continue, my schedule is not the employees' job to know or to accommodate. It's the reason I order ahead, so that in case something happens, I have some extra time to play off of. However, it would have been much perfered having to not wait out my entire break to receive my food. It had gone cold from sitting for 20+ mins, and the shake was completely melted.
Again, the staff here are lovely and the very nice employee that handed me my order did an amazing job, it is nothing on them. I just wish it wasn't so much of a gamble on how long my...
Read moreArrived to see no cars parked in the lot. An employee emptying trash confirmed for us that the inside was open. There was no one at the counter, and no one came when we waited there with a question. Finally decided not to order meals and just order drinks and pies at the kiosk, where it told us they were taking to- go orders only. We wished we had stopped somewhere else but decided to go ahead and get a sweet tea, milkshake, and two pies. Our pie order was tossed on the counter, but no drinks. Waited while employees saw, but ignored us for several minutes. Finally, we asked a passing employee for a cup for tea and the milkshake. The sweet tea container was empty. Back to the counter to be ignored while still waiting for the milkshake. Finally, we got someone to fill the sweet tea, but still no milkshake. Eventually, a manager(?) saw us standing there holding our sack and a drink and asked what we needed. He got the milkshake and apologized for the wait. We didn't have to wait alone. There were others waiting for the things missing from their orders. Despite the dining room being closed, the women's bathroom was a mess, and the stall was closed in the men's room. Maybe they were understaffed this evening, but you NEVER ignore customers. You always smile and let them know someone will be right with them. This McDonald's only values...
Read moreIt's been a while since we've gone into a Mickey D's, typically the drive through suits our needs, but this visit, found us inside the locally owned fast food icon. Hopefully this store was a one off, driving the efforts of retirees, at least one of whom appeared to be an octogenarian was an imposing woman who, in a loud voice that carried through the dining area , was driving her charges on. They have two 'teams' that apparently are pitted against one another in a never ending race to "get those times better!" While some work for these places to be a part of something, others are just trying to make some money. To have the constant chiding that impacts customers seems counter productive. However we're sure the owners don't care as long as profits increase. Perhaps if the noisy team leader picked up a meal to bring to a customer things would go even faster. Instead, the staff apologized to clearly annoyed customers about the din. Granted, it's fast food, not the Capitol Grille, but if this proves out to be commonplace, we're bringing sandwiches from home. Orwellian dystopia with your...
