Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Piscataway Township

Went to Applebees with my family last Friday around 7 pm, it was packed but shortly later we were seated and greeted by our rude server Ebony C, my 27 year old son who then asked for an alcoholic drink was refused as he forget to have his ID on him, albeit he’s never been carded at this Applebees or any restaurant ever due to his mature appearance, so he understood and proceeded to order a soda, shortly after Ebony returns to our table I asked for another alcoholic beverage, she then tells me “I have to finish the beer I’m drinking first” in a rude and unwelcome tone, I’ve never heard of this rule in my life and immediately knew something was off and that she was assuming I was actually ordering it for my son which is an incredibly unprofessional thing to imply a customer is doing something wrong like that when I did nothing of the sort, regardless knowing she was wrong around 5 minutes later Ebony had the drink I requested sent out for me anyways, what kind of strange policy is this where waitresses are now able to make their own rules assuming the customer is guilty of something like this???? Absolutely ruined my meal and am horrified of how I was treated by this waitress Ebony C, horrible attitude and demeanor as well like it was blatantly obvious she did not want to be there, needs re training and customer service training ASAP, ruined an evening out with my family and my day, love Applebees very much but will never be going to this location again due to...

I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised seeing as though we arrived at the restaurant at 1:30 PM and there were only three cars in the parking lot…. Customer service at this location, our waitress some light skin girl with a head scarf on , who seemed to think a bit more of herself than she should was a joke !!… I had to repeatedly flag down other waitresses because ours was so inattentive to our table…this is mind blowing because we were seated nearest the bar and she spent most of her time standing behind it ( Go figure ) .

Not once did this young lady come to the table to ask us if we needed a refill on our refreshments or to even remove empty plates Because they were taking so long to make the tomato soup I ordered, which is coming out of a can anyway declined to have it… the food here is garbage and the atmosphere and lack of decent customer service reminds me of why I do not eat at low quality restaurants like this, and had it not been for my children , I definitely would have gone elsewhere.

Do not waste your money or time in this establishment, especially this specific location as this isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue here , but definitely will be the last… whoever the manager is here, your staff needs to be re- trained and with a meager 14 people in the place including my party at 1:30 pm on a Saturday…. I've been to this particular Applebee's many times throughout the past four years, but this single experience I had tonight was the worst experience I've ever had at a dine in restaurant. I had ordered a milkshake, and first of all the milkshake had come out several minutes after the food that we have ordered came out. This was unfortunate but I guess it happens. They said that the ice cream was too frozen and needed to be thawed. When the milkshake came out, the shake was completely melted, to the point where the consistency of the shake was just milk. It was completely liquid. The temperature of the shake was also not cold - it was less than milk taken out of the refrigerator. When I brought this up to the server, she did not believe me at first, saying it was ice cream, so "how could it be warm". She brought the manager (Hercules Papadogiannis) and the manager interrogated me about the shake. Although I insisted that the milkshake was completely liquid and not cold at all, he just kept retorting with "it's made of ice cream, so it can't be warm". In the end, he just finished the conversation with: it doesn't make sense that it's not warm, but do you want another one. I declined the offer.
