I visited here on Saturday, July 12th, 2025 and I had an amazing experience! This is easily the most incredible ramen restaurant I have ever been to. This place also serves incredible boba tea (and other milk teas of many kinds!) which was an excellent treat before the dinner. Highly recommend you try a drink; you won't regret it! The broth of the ramen was second to none, creating such a powerful, but not overwhelming (in a good way), flavor that was a delight to all my senses! I visited with my wife and we sat down to enjoy the food together. The staff was very kind and the gentleman who took our order and processed our payment was delightful and fun! He was an extremely warm person and if the food wasn't perfect (it very much is), his inviting aura and the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant would be the one of the most important reasons to come back! I ordered the spicy chicken miso soup and I can not sing its praises enough. The spice was just right, the broth extremely flavorful, and the noodles had soaked in that flavor so well, and were very long and easy to slurp up! My wife had the tenichi ramen and she very much agreed; the flavor here is second to none. I can not recommend this place enough. Come here if you have time for an excellent meal that will leave you satisfier and content without feeling bloated! Cash is king here by the way so be sure to have actual cash, zelle, or cashapp on you so you! They do give a discount for using cash, plus a little bonus if you spend enough, which I think is a really kind gesture to customers! We will absolutely make a habit of returning here when we have the time. I would absolutely recommend dining in, since that's when the food is at it's best; hot ready and fresh! Thank you sincerely to the staff who helped us at every step of the way to have a delicious,...
Read moreAvoid This Place! Overpriced, Bland, and Disappointing!
I recently visited and had a truly terrible experience. When ordering, I asked how many tofu buns came in an order, and the server told me "one" for about $5.72. I decided to order two, even though the price seemed excessive. Unfortunately, when the bun arrived, it was cold, and the flavor was bland—definitely not worth the price.
We also ordered the veggie ramen, and that's where things went from bad to worse. The server misunderstood our order and brought two bowls, which we didn’t want. It ended up being a waste of money. The ramen itself was absolutely disgusting—bland, lacking flavor, and the ingredients didn’t even complement each other.
To top it off, the server was sarcastic and made a snide comment while bringing us the chili oil, saying, "Oh, I know you’ve been waiting for this your whole life," and bragging that it was homemade. It wasn’t homemade, and it certainly didn’t improve the already terrible dish.
Their prices are outrageously high for what you get. Nothing is made fresh—it’s all pre-cooked and reheated, which explains the poor quality. Honestly, for the same price, you can drive 10 minutes down the road to Route 27 and get ramen that tastes a hundred times better.
I should have left when I entered and seen there was no one else in there. If you do try be careful on how you order repeat the order and how many before you get tricked .
I won’t be coming back. Save your money and your appetite—there are much better options nearby!

Read moreIt’s just okay. Skeptical of the hundreds of 5-star reviews from accounts with single digit reviews, and all the crepe and boba stuff they’re selling at a Ramen-ya, but I decided to bite. I’m a Ramen fanatic, so I think I have a pretty good knack at judging one.
This place is an okay, not-so-authentic place for ramen. It’s not terrible, but definitely not 5 stars. Tried two (Tantanmen and Signature). Tantanmen tastes okay - just not what Japanese tantanmen (More like a weird Korean gochujang flavored soup with minced meet) should taste like. The Signature ramen was a little better - I can see the flavor they were trying to bring out in the broth. Seems like the right ingredients, but not quite the quality I wanted. Eggs (Ajitama) were overly soggy/mushy. The toppings were a little strange, but some ramen places do be a little adventurous with them. It’s honestly similar to Raraku? in Edison or Shokudo (also bland Ramen, across the street) in terms of quality, but more expensive. At this price point, pay up 2-3$ more and either get Menya (Metuchen) or Ramen Nagomi (New Brunswick), which are not perfect representations of Japanese Ramen but definitely better and more authentic. We’re in NJ, not in the middle of Kansas. For that reason alone, I...
