I recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming Thai vegan restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The ambiance was inviting, with a serene and cozy atmosphere that immediately set the stage for a memorable meal.
I started with the Pad Thai noodles, and they were absolutely divine. The noodles were perfectly cooked, maintaining that ideal balance of tenderness and slight chewiness. The flavors were a harmonious blend of sweet, tangy, and savory, with just the right amount of spice. The generous portion of fresh vegetables and tofu added a delightful texture, making each bite a wonderful experience.
Next, I indulged in the pineapple rice, which was a true highlight of the meal. The presentation itself was a feast for the eyes, with the vibrant colors of the pineapple and vegetables. The rice was fragrant and subtly sweet, infused with the essence of fresh pineapple. The combination of crunchy cashews and juicy pineapple chunks created a delightful contrast, enhancing the overall flavor profile.
The service was impeccable, with the staff being both attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to accommodate dietary preferences and offer recommendations.
Overall, this Thai vegan restaurant is a gem that offers a delightful culinary experience. Whether you're a vegan or simply looking to explore Thai cuisine, their Pad Thai noodles and pineapple rice are must-tries. I highly recommend this place for a delicious and...
Read moreI just tried Thai Basil last night through Caviar delivery. I got the green curry with brown rice, the spring rolls, the tom kha, and the fried cheesecake. The green curry is mind-blowingly good - my favorite green curry in the area. The spring rolls are also probably my favorite. Delectable. The cheesecake was not what I expected —I really loved it! I hesitated getting it because most places would have a cheesecake overdone on sweetness. This was great! I wish there had been a bit more crisp, but that's not saying that it wasn't crispy! It was (I just love the crispy bits anyway). The only thing I was disappointed in was the tom kha. It was mostly brothy (with about as tiny an amount of coconut milk that one can get away with) and very salty. I'm taking one star off for this. Not even a subtle hint of sweetness and no body to it at all. I had about 4 spoonfuls and put it away. I'll be adding some of my own coconut milk later. I've never once had to do this at any other place.
Edit: Later on down the line, and I've tried the tom kha again with different results of deliciousness. I think it's better when I get it and eat it the next day. I've also had their Kung Pao multiple times, and the vegetables are so fresh. This restaurant is fantastic, and definitely one that would make vegans and non-vegans alike happy (not a...
Read moreCoworkers and I went in for lunch today and ordered the Vegetarian Pad Thai, Thai Basil Rice and Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice. While eating one of my coworkers found a white WORM stuck to a piece of carrot from the veg Pad Thai. All four of us immediately stopped eating from our plates. We asked the waitress what this white piece was and she immediately removed the plate from the table and went in the back and showed it to another waitress. From their reactions we figured out that this was not acceptable and we saw her dump the plate out right away. When we spoke to the manager, her response was, “we use organic vegetables so we cannot control it”. She showed no concern at all and did not even offer us anything to compensate for this. When we asked her to remove all the plates from the bill, she refused and said we cannot do that. Instead I had to ask her again to remove atleast the pad thai and one more plate. This behavior is completely UNACCEPTABLE and WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK...
