I started coming to this gym over a year ago and it has just gone downhill ever since. It started out around a 4.5/5 star gym, but has rapidly made its way down to a 0. I dread having to come to this gym now due to the condition of it and the way it is ran.
This gym is in constant disorder. Cable machines and various other machines constantly breaking. I alerted staff nearly two months ago about the rails on the prone leg curl being detached from the frame of the system - a malfunction that could injure someone mid set if the stack comes lose - and they still have not bothered to fix it. Cable attachments are constantly missing due to people breaking them (ive seen a D handle broken right infront of me), or people straight up stealing them. If you ever forget an item at this gym, forget ever getting it back. It will either be stolen within an hour, or you try and get ahold of the gym staff via the phone and they give you the snarkiest attitude when you ask if they found your missing item. There are CONSTANT pools of liquid scattered around the gym from people spilling drinks, that simply do not get cleaned up. The locker rooms and bathrooms are consistently disgusting, with toilet paper, water bottles, and literal feces being on the floor and amenities at any given time. Not to mention the constant trash and litter on the side walks when you arrive. The water that comes out of the sink has a chance of being skin-burningly hot half the time as well. They recently removed all of the spin bikes from the spin room, leaving it locked and empty. Nearly all of the foam rollers are missing, and the ones left have large chunks ripped out of them. There was a month period where there was only 1 foam roller remaining, which got ripped in half so members could use the two halves. Very nice. Good luck finding the dumbells you need, as they are constantly in total dissaray. It is nearly impossible to come by 5 or 2.5lb plates here. This gym no longer has clips to put on the end of the barbells due to members stealing them. I have literally had to save a woman acrossed the gym from injuring herself as her plates were sliding off the end of the bar due to the lack of clips. There are not even enough barbells for all of the racks in the gym. Many racks are left without barbells entirely. The culture at this gym is also dragging it down. You cannot come to this gym after 5pm without tripping over tripod after tripod, ending up in peoples videos, and waiting in literal lines to use the machines. Most sensible gyms that are having this much of an obvious staffing issue would put a membership cap in place, but obviously they are not doing that. Even if you have your belongings at your machine and step away for 30 seconds, someone will have taken it. The staff here simply do not care, and it is very much showing.
I have had memberships at nearly a dozen gyms, ranging from small grungey garage gyms, to mega commercial gyms, and unfortunately this is now the worst I have been to.
Upon learning tonight that this gym, 24 HOUR FITNESS, will be closing at 9pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, my girlfriend and I will be cancelling our membership within the next two weeks, as the flexible hours are why I signed up in the first place. We will be going to Diesel Gym instead, locally owned and cared for.
Dont even bother giving the same copy and paste response as...

My experience at 24 Hour Fitness has been completely transformed by Jason. From the very first session, his passion for fitness was not just evident, but contagious. He didn't just hand me a generic workout plan; he took the time to understand my goals, my limitations, and my past struggles. Jason possesses a rare gift for breaking down complex movements into simple, manageable steps, ensuring I not only perform exercises correctly to avoid injury but also understand the "why" behind each one. His approach is both professional and deeply personal, making every session feel uniquely tailored to my journey.
What truly sets Jason apart and gives me the will to keep working out is his incredible ability to motivate. There have been countless days when Iāve walked into the gym feeling tired or uninspired, but Jasonās unwavering positivity and genuine belief in my abilities always turn my mindset around. He knows exactly when to push me to get that one last rep and when to offer words of encouragement that resonate deeply. He celebrates every small victory with as much enthusiasm as a major milestone, which has been instrumental in building my confidence and making me feel capable of things I never thought possible.
Jason is more than a trainer; he is a coach, a mentor, and a cornerstone of my fitness journey. His outstanding support and encouragement have given me a renewed sense of purpose within the gym walls. Because of him, I no longer see workouts as a chore, but as an empowering challenge I look forward to. He has instilled in me a lasting love for fitness and the mental fortitude to stay consistent, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been a member at the 24 Hour Fitness Super-Sport location in Piscataway for 2 years now, and let me tell you it's hands-down one of the best gyms in the area for anyone looking to mix up their routine with high-energy classes and solid strength training. From the moment you walk in, the spacious layout and 24/7 access make it feel like a welcoming second home, especially if you're juggling a busy schedule.a30bbb Whether you're into dance-fueled cardio or chill recovery sessions, this place has it all covered, and the instructors? Absolute rockstars who keep you motivated without the intimidation factor. Let's break it down by class type, because that's where this gym truly shines: Zumba: Oh man, the Zumba sessions here are pure magic! The instructors crank up the Latin beats and lead these high-energy dance parties that fly by in 45-60 minutes. I love how they break down the moves for beginners while adding flair for those who want to go full-on salsa-shake. One recent class had the perfect mix of reggaeton and pop remixes left me sweating buckets but grinning ear-to-ear. Shoutout to the instructors for making it feel like a club night, not a workout. If you're new to it, just show up; no prior dance skills required! Yoga: For winding down or building that mind-body connection, the yoga classes are a game-changer. They offer everything from gentle Hatha flows to more dynamic Vinyasa sessions, all in a dedicated studio with great lighting and props. The instructors are pros at modifications, so whether you're a total newbie or pushing for deeper poses, you'll feel supported. I especially appreciate the focus on breathwork it's helped me de-stress after long workdays. The vibe is inclusive and serene, never stuffy. HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training): If you're chasing quick, effective burns, the HIIT classes here deliver big time. Think bootcamp-style circuits with bodyweight moves, kettlebells, and battle ropes, intense but scalable. The trainers keep things fresh with themed workouts and they emphasize form to avoid injuries. I've dropped noticeable inches from these 30-45 minute sessions, Pro tip: Hydrate beforehand; these classes mean business! Strength Training: The free weights, machines, and functional training area are top-notch plenty of space, well-maintained equipment, and even a turf zone for Olympic lifts or pushups. But what elevates it are the group strength classes, like BodyPump or functional training, led by instructors who cue like they've read your mind. They offer form checks and progressions that make lifting feel empowering, not overwhelming. I've built real muscle here without feeling lost in the crowd. Overall, the instructors across the board are the secret sauce, knowledgeable, energetic, and genuinely invested in your goals. They're quick with tips during cool-downs and create a community feel that's rare in big-chain gyms Sure, peak hours can get busy, but the variety of classes keeps things flowing If you're in Piscataway or nearby, grab a trial pass and see for yourself this place isn't just a gym; it's where good habits stick. Highly recommend for all fitness...
