Dunkin' — Restaurant in Piscataway Township

I ordered a coffee and a latte with oat milk. The lady who prepared my coffee, extracted the espresso, steamed the oat milk and let it sit on the coffee machine for a good amount of time(I saw her making 3-4 drinks while the steamed milk and espresso sat on the machine). It is quite common to multitask and I’m usually in awe of baristas who multi task and make multiple drinks at the same time. However, in this case, the lady completely forgot about the order. I didn’t want to be rude so I waited and kept waiting thinking and hoping she would pick up the drink from the machine.I finally reminded the person behind the counter about my order and he inturn asked the lady and she went blank, turned around and looked if she missed anything, and voila!! the abandoned steamer jug and espresso cup came into her sight!!! She very calmly picked them and made my drink and the audacity to call out ‘hot latte’ while serving to me.. the end result was the pathetic looking and tasting “latte”. I being a wimp, took my vain latte and walked out without a peep. P.S: I know it’s not fair to expect an exceptional latte from commercial chains like Dunkin, but is a decent latte too...

So, this has been my go-to Dunkin, and while I'll still end up going to it (out of convenience) this place runs out of stock very quickly. Also, four or five times, I have ordered the Avocado toast with bacon and it hadn't come with bacon (which is extra money mind you). I've been very disappointed with them lately. I will say it obviously has nothing to do with the people there, though the one lady was dismissive when she told me they didn't have my drink but I was annoyed and I'm sure she was also annoyed with people complaining so I can't really fault her. And the one guy seemed to feel really bad that two things I ordered were out of stock. They ended up giving me an extra donut, which was nice but doesn't really make up for not having two things I ordered.

So, it's not the workers, probably the management. They obviously need to order more ingredients and keep popular items in stock.

I visit this store daily as part of my morning walking routine to buy a coffee and donut.

One thing i noticed is, the male staff is less tolerant towards customers who make mistakes and snaps at them occasionally. I am relatively new to this country and can't fully understand american accent yet. So, at the pickup area, i picked up another person's order by mistake today. The male staff member was rude towards me and spoke as if i am trying to steal another person's order. Even though i showed my own receipt that i am also a customer waiting, he was a bit hostile. This is the second time this happened to me. The first time i didn't take my receipt after payment. I was spoken to like a thief then also.

So, i have decided to stop visiting this store for my daily coffee. Either there is a subtle racist undertone to this or the staff member is less tolerant towards customer mistakes. In either case, i thought it is better to avoid this place in future. Coffee is...
