The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in Pismo Beach

Hands down the best coffee shop on the central coast, yes there are some pretty cool cafe's in SLO but the coffee and tea served at the Bean & Leaf is phenomenal I have never had a bad drink from this place. Their menu is simple but covers all the right bases; Nitro, Cold Brew, Blended, Iced, Chemex, and a truly impressive selection of Tea's. I have purchased a variety of items from the Coffee Bean from travel thermoses to air tight coffee cups, and everything has been durable and unique. The Tea is all available for purchase and all the merchandise is reasonably priced. The thing that makes this place stand out from all the other coffee shops in this area is the employees, they engage in real conversation and still do their jobs with excellence. I LOVE the Pismo Beach Coffee Bean! I am here EVERY day! When you walk in and the girls behind the counter greet you by name and ask if your having your "usual" it just makes you feel good. "Lauren " is usually the sweet young lady who takes my order and she always has a smile on her face and never forgets to say " by Rebecca have a good day". Even the newly hired girls who I believe Lauren has trained now greet me with the same smiles and personal " hello & goodbye" The drinks are always made exactly the way I order and have always been ready before or on time. Unlike the so called competition who leaves you standing around waiting for your order while they fumble around each other and cater to their drive thru customers sitting comfortably in their cars. We love the iced blended coffees. Our absolute favorites are the iced blended cookie butter and the iced blended cookies and cream! I add an extra shot of espresso because I'm a caffeine addict. But the flavors here are really the best and most unique around. No overused Torani syrup here! They have their very own powder mixes which are really delicious. I order mine with oat milk to cut down on dairy. The mix has a little bit of dairy, but not enough to really worry about, as I'm lactose intolerant. But those cookie butter iced blended coffees are absolutely addicting! We try getting away from the same ol' same ol' flavors because most places use the same old syrups.
