UPDATE: THEY MESSED WITH THE AMOUNT I WROTE DOWN AS A TIP AND CHARGED ME MORE THAN I AGREED TO. I looked through my Cash App history, and found that this is not the first time they've done this. I've been here 3 times, and only once was the total amount correct. Each time, it was raised by less than a dollar, but in my opinion, the amount doesn't really matter. What matters is that I wrote a tip and a total amount on the receipt, and then the next day when Cash App updated to show the new total with tip included, I was charged more than what I'd written down. I know this because I keep only the amount I need in my Cash Balance, and keep the rest in Cash App savings. I opened my Cash App this morning to find my Cash Balance negative by less than a dollar, and the notification that Bengal Kabab House had updated my total to include a tip... As stated above, their new total was incorrect, hence the overdraw.
UPDATED UPDATE: I've been contacted by the restaurant staff and informed that they were unable to read my tip. While that doesn't tell me how/why they ignored my $30.00 written as the total, it does at least explain what happened. They tried to refund me but their software wouldn't do it, so they're offering a discount on my next visit to reflect the discrepancy.
I have attached a picture showing every time I have paid with my Cash App card. This is the only payment method I have used at this restaurant. Each and every time, I have put a tip that brings the total up to exactly $30 and no change, and then I have also written $30.00 as the total. Only once have I been charged to the correct total amount.
Food review is below.
TLDR: Great place, great food, great prices, regular street parking (no lot).
I came here with my GF who is introducing me to more cuisines (I'm white and use Google recipes on easy mode 😂😂😂) and I absolutely loved it! The curry chicken on the rice on top of Naan, with Riata on top, oh it's so good! And there's vegetarian options and fried rice and salad base, and several sauces to choose from as well!
We got the buffet. There's also specific stuff you can order if you want a more trailered meal and access to the stuff that's not just made in batches for the buffet. I'm sure I'll try some of those at some point, but for tonight, the buffet was excellent! And it was only $13 per person!
It's a pretty small place, seating for probably 20-30 total if people cooperate and fill every seat. Water is provided for free upon arrival, and they also offer soda and whatnot that you pay for.
The staff is very polite and stay to themselves except when offering more water and checking on patrons. In general, it's a very relaxed atmosphere and I felt very comfortable.
It is kinda small and decor is somewhat basic, but I definitely would not say that any of that takes away from...
Read moreI ordered my favorite dish from a restaurant I have never been to before; Chicken Tikka Masala! I also ordered two pieces of naan: garlic and butter. I had the food delivered via Seamless. From time of order to delivery was roughly 75-80 minutes on a Sunday evening.
Pros The food was good. The chicken was flavourful, the bread fresh and sauce tasty. I wanted medium spiciness (5 out of 10) for the sauce, but believe it was closer to no spice (1 or 2 out of 10). There was a hint of sweetness to the sauce. The rice was Basmati Rice and delicious. There was no plate with the meal, but eating utensils were provided.
Cons There was a significant amount of oil resting on the top of the sauce. The portion of rice was small and even smaller for the Chicken Tikka Masala dish. The dish cost $12 and comes with rice. The portion for the rice was similar to Chinese Carry-out containers while the chicken dish was a small bowl. This was a very big let down. Additionally, I requested extra sauce and didn't receive it.
Overall, I would eat here again, but probably only for dining in.

Read moreWe went to Bengal Kabab and Grill after seeing its Google reviews and decided to try their buffet dinner. Honestly, this place was a total disappointment. They advertise themselves as a Bangladeshi restaurant, but the food was nowhere close to authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. As a Bangladeshi myself, I can confidently say the dishes were mostly Indian-style, and even then, they didn’t taste good at all. In fact, I myself can cook better than its chef 🤷🏻♀️
The hygiene of the restaurant was another major concern—very poor upkeep. What annoyed me most was the gulab jamun section, where they had a sign that said “2 pieces per person.” Who does that in a buffet? That’s simply ridiculous.
They also served milk tea at the beginning, which tasted awful and was given in a cup so tiny it felt like a toy. Totally unacceptable for a buffet experience.
The only positive I can mention is the service! The guy at the counter was very polite and cordial. But that alone doesn’t make up for everything else that was wrong.
Overall, I was completely disgusted and will never return to this restaurant. Definitely not...
