As someone who’s tried just about every ice cream shop within a 10 mile radius, multiple times, I definitely think Frio is the best overall. It is always consistent and the way they pack their delivery orders is INSANE. It NEVER melts even when it’s 90 degrees out. We have never physically gone inside this place. We’ve ordered for delivery all 15-20 times and never disappoints!! We’ve tried their ice cream, shakes and sundaes and all are incredible and reasonably priced. If I had to pick one, I’d say their shakes are the showstopper, especially their specialty ones! Pictured here is their ice cream; this was the first time we ever ordered from here. All the times we’ve ordered from here after, we’ve devoured so fast I never catch a photo in time LOL I know one of the flavors pictured is pistachio and I don’t remember the other one. The pistachio is vegan, and I order this one almost every other time (when I’m craving something not as heavy as a shake or sundae) and it’s the best pistachio I’ve ever had. I am not vegan whatsoever but prefer their vegan pistachio over their regular ice cream, it’s that good! Other than the pistachio, my faves are piece of cake & bittersweet mint (ice cream), piece of cake shake, salted caramel pretzel & strawberry cheesecake (specialty shakes), and peanut butter cup sundae (hubby’s order 99.9% of the time).

This is good ice cream, no doubt about it. They have a lot of different options and the classics as well. They have a few daily options that change depending on the season. And vegan options too! Vegan options that actually sound delicious. I decided to try the peanut butter fudge milkshake. Wow, the shake was very thick! Nearly too thick. But, the flavor was great. The base was a rich chocolate. It seemed high quality. There are streaks of peanut butter throughout the ice cream. Even little bits of peanuts in the ice cream, but I wasn't a fan of this. Not much liquid fudge. It was topped with a generous amount of whipped cream. I would have enjoyed it more if the base was peanut butter, but it was still really good. The portion size was great. Although, it is pretty costly. I'm talking almost $10 for a milkshake. All in all, it's a great place to get a treat. Not the most cost effective, but the quality is great, and they have many diverse and delicious options to choose from. I would recommend trying them out.

This is a fun little ice cream place in a busy section of Lawrenceville. I had heard good things about before from friends, but hadn't gotten the chance to try it until a rainy Saturday night with my family after we had finished dinner. The space is meager and it can feel a little cramped, but the workers do a nice job getting people thru quickly, even with the ability to sample flavors. The flavors themselves are quite expansive and interesting, while also having the tried and true favorites. I gor the Cinnamon Stickies ice cream, and it was quite good- chock full od flavor and pleasant textural juxtaposition. The prices aren't the cheapest, but seem fair for the area and the quality. It's worth a stop if you're in or around Lawrenceville and need to fix an ice cream craving.
