So, how does a 3 for food, a 3 for service and a -5 for atmosphere add up to a 5 star breakfast experience? Bad math or ergot in the rye toast? No, this is a head bangers breakfast joint and once you get your too-civilized head around this noisy, packed and confusing dive bar with AC/DC, Metalica and Black Sabbath blasting in speakers directly over your head, you are in for a real Pittsburgh delight. People at the bar are partying over their ham and cheese omelettes and too hung over or high to notice that their hash browns are undercooked while screaming in delight when "Paranoid" starts playing. Don't miss this place and bring an open mind.

Super small, cozy, hometown bar, where everyone knows your name and is welcome kind of bar/dive. Quality food, friendly staff, and priced Right food!! Shared a table w some local guys. Welcoming fellas and had a good time just chatting. Such a southern, warm welcome. Ordered the mixed grill: eggs, onions, pepper, jalepeno, potatoes, cheese. Perfection! Served w toasted rye bread and coffee for under $10. Why pay a ridiculous amount for breakfast/lunch when you can get quality delicious food that won't break the budget. I've already added this spot to my favs for Pittsburgh!!

There's no question why this is the go-to bar for so many nurses, construction workers, and other night shift employees. There's such a consistent, familial staff that the food and service is something you can rely on, whether it's a weekend evening or a Tuesday morning. The beer is cold and the food is so inexpensive. I think a lot of places sell out after being featured on food network shows, but Nadines is refreshingly authentic.

Ok understand this is an actual BAR. Very few tables. Only 2 regular tables back by the bathrooms and 3 tall tables. So this is NO PLACE to take the FAMILY or expect a nice quite dinner. THE FOOD is really good. There were 4 of us and we ordered a 2 Rubens-my son said it was one of the best he's had. My husband said it was an "awfully good ruben". We also ordered an Italian hero, which the ham was burnt bad on, but they took it back and fixed right away and it was good as well. I got the hot roast beef plate with fries ( you can also get potatoes). Now all this food comes out on paper plates (my paper plates was doubled). It doesn't say it on the menu but this is a sandwich the plate was drowned in gravy (which over fries is great) in my opinion it needed salt & pepper. Once add it took it from a 5-6 rating to 8-9. The only thing I didn't care for was once it was between 2 slices of bread, the bread was also covered in gravy like the fries. With the Reubens potatoe soup was ordered as well. The potato soup was thick like a chowder but it was really good it also needed salt & pepper. I will say that is one of the best potato soups I've had from a restaurant. We all liked it so much we ordered some totaled back to the hotel. All total with drinks it was $120.00. Now I will say the service was lacking, but then again a BAR Not a restaurant. Now on to the WORST thing the Women Bathroom was UTTERLY DISGUSTING. It was so bad that if I had gone in there before we ate, we would have left. No kidding it was GROSS, i wouldgo into but i think it would ruin your apatite. Now they do run specials like the night we were in there was a brisket sandwich, but it was sold out. Just to let you know about the amount of gravy kn my plate. My son had most of his fries left and we put the rest of my gravy over them. I will say these are fairly nice size portions. We left with 5 carry out boxes. Really Good food and good portions for the price. My suggestion if you don't want to eat in a bar, do take-out. But I would CAUTION you to check it before you leave due to the fact the ham was only burnt on 1 side, but burnt none the less, and they still served it to the table. Now if your just in town looking for a cozy low key, relaxed bar, then this...

Just pulled out of this establishment. I came here before with my bf and had a good meal and good vibes so today I BEGGED for him to take me back. In 2024 why is there a blatantly racist girl behind the bar? Totally terrible experience and if you are " non white" I'd steer clear. The girl refused to even serve my bf until I came back from the bathroom. At this point she delivered a menu and walked away. When she came back I ordered for the both of us because clearly she was uncomfortable with us being there at all. I ordered and reiterated our order multiple times. She comes back with tator tots for me when HE orders toast. When his meal was delivered he got a burnt end of bread. I wish i was exaggerating. I ask for the dressing and salad that I ordered and she walked away. A few minutes pass and I call the other tender and ask for my salad and dressing. I watch her tell the girl waiting on us, and the girl proceeds TO WAIT ON OTHER PEOPLE and afterwards put her dirty hands on a head of lettuce. I kindly said i didnt want the salad anymore. The entire time my bf was denied service. At the end of this extremely awkward experience our "waitress" had the nerve to ask if we needed change for food that we were already OVERCHARGED FOR. Never asked if we needed anything. Never even given eye contact. Totally unacceptable in a region where our metro has 35% of people that are not white. Which apparently this establishment is only accepting whites. Maybe there should be a sign at the door to designate our special seating area as well. 10/10 will not...

I went here for breakfast.....breakfast fare was typical customer service was average.......we sat in the back at a TINY round table.

What became awkward began when our food was presented to us....each of us had multiple plates instead of having our food consolidated to save space so as you could imagine a TINY round table shrunk in size as we began to manuver to do what they should have done.

NOT COOL!!!!!

What became a HUGE turn off for me and the 2 other gentleman that were there was when they started playing music that was ear piercingly and annoyingly loud!!!

So much so that we 3 had to lean forward and almost scream at each other just to maintain a conversation.

At that point I was immediately ready to leave.......my buddies had to persuade me to even finish my meal.

I asked our waiter if the music could be turned down some he said yes but never did it.

I assume Nadine's is a popular local establishment and the locals probably love it there.....as for me that was my first and last time going there!!!!

If you are on Pittsburgh's South Side go....check it out for yourself.....hopefully your experience will be...
