I love Papa Johns pizza and I have never had a problem with the food quality at this location so they get 2 stars instead of 1. However I have had several delivery orders take significantly longer than they should have. What prompted me to write this review was my most recent order. The delivery window came and went, and the online tracker indicated the order was still at the store. I call the store to check the status and a lady who I later found out was one of the general managers answered the phone with the standard, "Papa John's can I put you on hold?" I was just beginning to say that I couldn't (my 2 year old just got into something she shouldn't) and only needed to know the status of my order ,but was unable to get out the first full word before I was greeted with hold music. If I don't have an option why even ask me? May I suggest an alternate such as, "Thank you for choosing Papa John's, I need to place you on a brief hold and will be back with you in a moment." When she returned to the phone I said that I was calling to check on the status of my order. Rather than saying, "Sure thing, what was the name on the order," there was a pause before I asked if she was able to check the status of my order. The response I received was a slightly condescending, "What was the name on the order?"
Given that our order was already late and the disappointing interaction with the general manager I decided that my 20% tip was no longer warranted and preemptively asked if I could have my tip charged back to my card. What followed was an explanation from the general manager, not of why it wasn't possible for her to do anything, but of how difficult it would be for her to make that happen. At this point I hung up and am choosing to spend the time waiting for our order to post this review. Also, our order still hasn't arrived, 30 minutes after I called to check the status, and 80 minutes after placing the initial order, to a location only a mile from the store.

Read moreSo I have to say that ordering food these days is not a good experience, in most cases. I placed an order with Papa John’s on Center Avenue and I received the wrong order. I called the restaurant, knowing that if you reach out to a lot of these delivery services they’ll ask if you contacted the restaurant. I proceeded to do so, and the very first interaction was horrible. I requested to speak to the restaurant manager, to make them aware of their mistake, and the fact that I would be requesting that it be re-made, instead of a refund. The person that I spoke to said that she was the general manager, and had such a bad attitude. I immediately knew that she wasn’t a manager by any stretch by her lack of professionalism and decorum. She then passed the phone off to a gentleman who said that he was the GM, and I proceeded to try to rectify the problem with him. He too was difficult and gave me all kinds of excuses, then blamed the delivery driver for the wrong pizza being made, then delivered to me. Then when I busted his bubble and told him and made him aware that the box that I received had my name and the order info on it, he then told me that a new pie would be made, then delivered to me. After calling many times to check on my order, I learned that they have 4 store GMs. Now, on a side bar, I’ve managed restaurants for over 30 years, and I have never heard of such a thing, however, that was one of the many lies that the owner or GM, or whoever he was, told me with each painful interaction. I would advise avoiding this location if you like good food, or good service. I placed my order 3 hours ago, and I’m still waiting. Each time that I called, he told me that door dash was sending a driver to pick it up and deliver it. Now, I might add that I ordered it through grub hub, and I had them on the phone when I called him the final time to see when my order would be delivered. They immediately processed a refund 🤦♀️. There was no door, or dash delivering my replacement 😂. They also suggested that this location should be avoided due to their lack of professionalism....
Read moreThey are absolutely one of the worst Papa Johns establishments. First they charge my cards and then they say their system is faulty and I can’t get my order nor my money back. And I’m left without money or food. Second, I’m left to wait on hold by Halley for 15 minutes, forcing me to call again and get the news mentioned above. I make this review after passing off varies orders I’ve made where the pizzas are delivered with less than half topping when I ordered for extra, cheese sticks with almost no cheese. It sounds incredible and ridiculous but I’ve given them many opportunities to recover. This was the last straw. Will not be ordering from here again.
