Mia’s pizza used to be one of my favorite pizza shops, but lately when I placed delivery orders they just haven’t been as efficient as they started off to be a few years ago, orders take at times an hour and a half to two hours to arrive, which is over there 45 min estimate time, but that’s not my issue, my issue is once it arrives the food is extremely cold & not the right order I initially place, I called back to speak to someone about the dilemma, they said they would credit me for my next order, I called back two days later to place the same order supposedly on credit, they said there weren’t enough delivery drivers, which was fine, but I over heard a phone call order they took which was a delivery, I ask about what I heard, they said it could only be within 1 mile, I said okay that’s understandable, I’ll pick my order up, once I ask about my credit he said they knew nothing about it, so I asked if the gentle men was available who I spoke to the last time, he said no, just me & the deliver person, I responded ok, but why didn’t the guy who said he would fix the problem do what he said he would do, he didn’t seem to know anything about it, so I just said ok, & just took his word for it but this is me given Mia’s pizza shop numerous of chances after broken promises & me actual picking up an order before, I said I wouldn’t order there again after walking into the place with filled trash, chicken wings & pizza crust on the counters with dipping sauces used next to them, it just seem a bit unprofessional, unsanitary, & just unclean to my expectations. I’m sorry but I thought we all should know...
Read moreSo December 31,2024 I made a delivery order via Slice app as I always do. This day I ordered fries with cheese sauce as well as a stromboli with extra meat and cheese. When my order was delivered my fries where ok just a little cold, but my stromboli I took a bite after I cut it and it was like a rancid, rotten taste I couldn't help but to spit it out I took one more bite and knew something was terribly wrong with the stromboli. I contacted the Slice app who contacted restaurant after I spoke to them and they said restaurant said they always use fresh food... And if I wanted my money back I would have to call Mia's myself and return food. I called asking to speak to manager and was told if I bring food back they will refund my money. I brought back the food within the hour because I don't drive so to health reasons. I walked in returned the food and manager said he was refunding my money back to my bank card I used for the transaction. Although it is now January 22,2025 and I still have not received my money back. This is a outrage. I mean I returned the food and didn't receive my money so in other words you guys at Mia's basically lied and swindled me just straight up robbed me. This is a shame I thought about reporting you guys to health department because that day I ate some of the food I was sick afterwards. And on top of that to be lied to and not get my money back after returning the food, you people should be ashamed of yourself seriously. I give y'all zero stars. 0️⃣🅾️ I don't recommend this restaurant. Horrible customer service and food not fresh and definitely won't get...
Read moreMia is my favorite pizza place in the area, and if you see how many pizza places I've reviewed, that says something.
Quality of the pizza is great. The sauce has a robust savory flavor to it, and all ingredients taste like quality fresh ingredients.
You can tell they really care for the customer. I used to love that they gave the premade garlic sauce cups with the pizzas, and after they switched to ranch, I thought i'd throw a comment into my order asking if there was any way I could sub ranch for garlic sauce. Not only did they do it, but it wasn't even the premade stuff. They made their own garlic sauce and added it for no charge. Those are the kind of gestures that always put Mia at the top of my list.
Delivery times, I can't really comment on. I live in what I can only assume is the edge of their delivery range, and frequently order at times when Pittsburgh bridge traffic is horrible. So while they're often 10 minutes later than the "estimated time," that estimate is probably being made by a computer program that wasn't coded for Pittsburgh.
Prices are competitive. You're not going to see that sticker shock when the deal goes away one day and suddenly it's 18-20 bucks subtotal for a large 1 topping.
Probably the only thing I would like to see changed at Mia is carrying Coca Cola. I know most pizza joints these days go with Pepsi products so they can have the Dew, but there are some trend setters around (like Pellegrino's) that carry both, and I love...
