Great indian street food - cant find pani puri in other indian restuarants
However, it's a bit overpriced for what you get. One pani puri costs around $8.00-12.00, it comes with 6 panis, and then the puri with the onions and everything. From the business perspective, with just $5 you could buy a large box of panis, and everything else is very cheap, (0.20 cents - 0.50 cents to make the side dish). So, for just 6 panis for $8, is quite ridiculous. If it was lowered to $3-4, it would still make a lot of profit.
In my opinion -- make it at home. It's clear this place is overpriced. Can you blame them? Humans have a tendency to greed. But, it's only good restaurants that thrive where generosity is key. Oh well.
It's overpriced. I would not recommend buying here unless you have money to blow. But this is a college area, and most college students don't exactly have that kind of money to sacrifice. I write this review mainly for them and anyone else who values honest restaurants and honest food.
Also, the chai gave me a headache after sipping it. Didn't taste good either.
I normally try to write positive reviews - but all of my reviews are truthful. Restaurant owner: -- consider lowering your prices in accordance with how much you actually lose. If your profit is $5+ for every 6 panis, and you buy a box of 25 panis for $5, you are making a lot of money. But your profit is already likely higher than that. So,...
Read moreGot tempted for chat items and visited this place. It took almost an hour to get our food . To take the order they waited us for 30 mins and after placing order it took 30-40 mins to get the food . This is toooooo much of wait time.
Overall if you are a spice lover and has expectation of india chat taste then it's not a place for you. If you have patience to wait for food and mild spice eater then you can try. Especially if you plan to visit with kids then recommend to full their tummy with snacks or fruits etc as wait time is too long. We ordered below items Paani puri - ok Samosa Chaat - good Chocolate cheese Sandwich - good ,kids will like it Cheese Sev puri- personally I didnt like it. It's very mild no spice, no salt,no tangy etc. But my kids n husband liked it. KGF sandwich - this is the only item I liked it. It tasted good. Totally recommend this. Paapdi Chat ordered with more spice but again it came with just paradise sprinkled with sev and few . pomegranate on top.I packed it to home and adjusted acording to my standards No chat...
Read moreTotally forgettable experience. Spent about $40+ on food for 3 people but the food was much lower quality. We ordered Cheese Bhel, Dahi Puri, Cheese Jam Mayo and Aloo Mutter Cheese sandwiches.
Cheese Bhel was ok. We asked to be mild which they accommodated but the mamra was way soggier and not because of chutney but the weather. Seemed like they were outside for long time. Also, they charge $2 extra for cheese and the cheese was barely noticeable.
Dahi Puri was just ok. No comments here.
The bread in Cheese Jam Sandwich was sooo dry. Not enough cheese or the jam. And they put Mozzarella cheese. Who puts Mozzarella in Indian food? I specifically asked whether they put butter and they said yes but butter wasn’t seen at all.
Aloo Mutter Cheese sandwich was also below level. There was lettuce in the sandwich. There shouldn’t be any lettuce in Aloo Mutter sandwich. The only reason it tasted ok because it was grilled.
Not sure how or why this place is getting high reviews but we would certainly NOT go...
