We came here yesterday July 1st and overall we had a great experience on the Smithfield Street location we were greeted and served by the manager which we did not know until we were leaving because we didn't really ask however from the start to finish the service was great we had decided we wanted to stay and eat instead of leaving the manager made accommodations and adjustments and made sure we were supplied with everything necessary to stay here and eat at the drop of a hat the food was excellent we have zero complaints we are walking all the way across the state of Pennsylvania we started in Philadelphia we made it all the way to Pittsburgh yesterday we stopped at a lot of places this is overall one of our favorites we are now walking across the state of Ohio and then Indiana all the way to Colorado you can follow us on Instagram our name is @thefishingchef However it's pretty obvious I am a chef so I'm very picky about my food again we had zero complaints the service was phenomenal as we were leaving we went to talk and speak with the manager and just tell her how great everything was and she introduced herself and so forth and I just wanted to give a good positive review we were happy with it that we came back again today the following day as we are heading out of town to eat one last time overall best place I stopped at in Pittsburgh and the whole area thank you guys very much...
Read moreWent there last night and spoke to the woman at the register and she stared at me like I was an alien from outter space... she sat at the register with gloves on, touching her face, the register, tucked her hands under her arms, and then went to the kitchen. She came out with those same gloves, sat at a table, ate and drank tea, and then went back to the register and got in the phone. As I was eating, the garbage man came, the entire staff started grabbing garbage and ran it through the restaurant! None of them washed their hands afterwards...and if course, the woman still had those same gloves on... I asked her tp turn thr heat up because it was freezing. She replies, "No. My apartment is colder than this. We are about to turn it off". Huh?! The cook went outside and came back in smelling like strong cigarettes; I asked her to get me a to go box when she came in...she didn't wash her hands after smoking and gave me my box. I left and the lady with the gloves and another guy was out front smoking......and she had those same gloves on! The food is not work getting sick because they are unsanitary. First thing Caucasian male was making my hoagie without gloves, mask, which was Disgusting. Caucasian woman took my order which was very Unprofessional do not know how to talk to customers! The restaurant Was very loud and ghetto Food all on the floor where they’re making your food people outside out front smoking cigarettes Where half the people who do not smoke came back into the store and was prepping food they need to wash their hands. And I seen little mice running around on the floor. Then I hear people in the back Arguing Didn’t nobody in the store have gloves on or mask with this COVID-19 going around and flu season.
